It's not a game. It's propaganda made by the Finnish state media to make Finns accept more refugees. You can even see some of the most profilic left wing refugee supporters in the trailer. No idea how they managed to get funding for this. Steam should delete this as real life political proganda has to be against their terms of service.
Steam is an entertainment platform and should stay that way! (Geo-)politics is very complex and hard to understand. It is so easy to manipulate people with emotions and with omission. The latter is the case with this “piece of software”. It does not belong on steam. Its not balanced. It omits so many important things. Steam: as much you try to protect young people from gore and violence, as much you should protect them from biased information and propaganda. Although, I like the idea to make people feel what war is like. VR adds a whole new dimension to that. And because of that it should be handled with caution and responsibility. The best way to avoid political bias is to avoid such topics at all. Steam is an entertainment platform to escape the craziness of the world – to have a break from all the mean sh!t. Plz, stay this way and try to avoid becoming another mouthpiece for “carefully selected”, biased, manipulative, and incomplete “stories”!

Perhaps the political right could make a VR game where you have to physically kick the refugees out of the EU? Would be more fun than this, for sure. You start off by standing in the center of modern day Helsinki, then it changes so the city looks like a CGI war zone... That's it. - It's poorly made, the environment is static and lifeless, so there's no sense of presence or entertainment value at all. And the pro-refugee propaganda is piled on in such a juvenile and obvious way, it was cringe worthy even for a liberal like me. Don't waste your time, stay away.
I needed to post a positive review as it is so sad to see what a bunch of ignorant and heartless people write in here. This little footage is great to show people that everybody would leave their country in such a war situation. It's leaving or dying. I don't know how a realistic war video can be propaganda? It is just real on many places and on earth. And it is an act of humanity to help refugees. You don't even have to be interested in politics for this. You just need to be empathically. I'm glad that steam allows something like this to excist in here even though it is not an high quality entertaining game.
A very good first gen experience about war , destruction and its aftermath. I"d like to see more in this vein ; harsh reality and no blinking. Very important that we understand and feel what the MSM cloaks in sanitized reporting
Has nothing to do with journalism... Its merely a propaganda...
Propaganda, might as well put a news channel on.
Perspectives: Aleppo-Helsinki is an immersive journalism piece where you are placed in Helsinki, Finland city square and applied the destruction and environment from Aleppo, Syria to it. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index and Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Try it and delete it.
Pelaamatta paskaa yle-propagandaa. It's not a game. It's propaganda.
