Persona 5 Royal

So I slept on this for a long time because I'm not a huge story guy, I assumed the high school setting and "relationship building" would be "childish" and tedious, and I'm not the biggest turn based combat fan. But after E33 (which blew me away), I was eager to pick up another turn based game and all signs pointed to this one (and the series) to be the best. My assumptions were completely incorrect. I was immediately drawn into the story which has real-life adult themes and situations. I actually connected with every character and didn't even press the FF button (ok, maybe once or twice). I found myself so wrapped in the environment it was all I could think about each day. The "relationship building" is actually a fantastic way to level up skills within your team, and decide on which builds to pursue. The utilization of personas is so amazing, how to involve them within combat, and their overall visual designs were just incredible. I did end up googling "key events I should not miss" to ensure a full playthrough and glad I did as you have to level a certain confidant to get to the third semester. I also did look up the rpg guide for each confidant to understand how each one could help me (what stats they would level, or how they would benefit the team). Anyway, all of that said, this game is 10/10. I am SO GLAD I gave it a fair chance and so thankful to have experienced this masterpiece. Hope my perspective convinces someone who may be on the fence to take the leap and experience the world of the Phantom Thieves. This one is definitely on my Top 5 of all time list. I immediately bought P3R and can't wait to dive in to it next.

just finished it i can say that it is one of those kind of game that can catch your heart idk what the feeling is but rare to have it but just remember those type of games will leave you in a depression when you finish it glad i played that game
