Perfect World

"Perfect World" is an extraordinarily badly made veneer of a platformer wrapped around a solid core of political evangelism as the crux of this "game" is to spread an anticapatalist pro-environmental "message" without any actual substance to it. What do you do in the game? The crux of the game is political indoctrination as the developer seeks to polarise gamers without any actual follow through, and this is achieved by the goal of the (really badly done) 3D platforming where the goal is to strip environments of their resources so you can buy upgrades to your grappling hook. Yeah, there's a grappling hook mechanism and stuff, but you'll go blind from the godawful "art" here before you can even use it... and I'm not kidding. This isn't the kind of thing you'd get from an art school dropout, because the art schools saw this guy coming and turned off the lights and shut all the doors and windows before he could knock on the door to apply. Can't be an art school dropout if you never got in. Whether we may or may not agree with the cause, it's my firm belief that politics of any kind has no place in gaming. It does no service to gamers at all for political or social agenda to be shoved down our throats, no matter which side is doing the shoving. We're here to have fun, not get indoctrinated. Because the primary purpose of this product is totally unrelated to gaming, this really just makes gaming worse, and does nothing to further the developers political crusade. This is one of those things that gives amateur developers such a bad name. The graphics here are particularly awful, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. There's little to no optimisation, performance is woeful even on high end machines. Well, I guess software testing and QA requires electricity and other resources so the developer is saving the environment by not testing his software and spending $100 to dump garbage on Steam in the hopes as many gamers as possible will burn electricity playing it. Yeah, this is Taylor Swift telling you to recycle while she flies between cities alone on her private jet. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at [b]only 5 concurrent players[/b]... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.

Кастомизация персонажей впечатляет своей глубиной, позволяя создать уникального героя. Система классов, хоть и традиционная, предлагает интересные варианты развития и взаимодействия. PvP сражения масштабны и захватывающие, а осады территорий требуют слаженной командной работы. С другой стороны, игра заметно устарела. Графика, хоть и приятная в стилистике, явно не соответствует современным требованиям. Множество механик перегружены и требуют долгих часов на освоение. Гринд ресурсов и прокачка могут показаться монотонными и утомительными, особенно для новых игроков. Донат, к сожалению, играет существенную роль, влияя на баланс и возможности персонажей. В целом, Perfect World подойдет тем, кто ностальгирует по классическим MMORPG, готов мириться с устаревшей графикой и гриндом, ради интересного мира и масштабных PvP. Но новым игрокам, привыкшим к более современным и динамичным играм, PW может показаться сложной и недружелюбной.
