Scary when those arrows come flying at your head! Good challenege, love the upgrade path and can't wait to see where the devs take this.
I almost dismissed this game entirely after playing for 3 minutes, but decided to go back and give it another go. It didn't change my mind, but did let me see the potential the game has a little more. My main gripe with the game is the bow - it's without a doubt the worst I've used in all the archery games I've played so far. That's quite a big problem when the games entire premise is based around archery. The models are simplistic and uninspiring. What this game does right however, is introduce some interesting game elements that other archery games lack. For example, not only are you shooting arrows - you are being shot at and will actively have to dodge arrows in a neo-esque manner. That's good fun and energetic. Other enemies put ladders against the side of the keep and you have to run over and push them away. It all mixes it up and a bit, so you don't feel you're stuck in a rut of shooting arrow after arrow waiting for your hands to cramp up. In its current state, I don't consider this game mature enough to recommend it, but I will keep an eye on future developments. If you're looking for an archery game - this would be far from the top of my list. The Lab (free), God of Arrows and Quivr are all far better. If I had to pick one, I'd pick Quivr as the multiplayer experience is great and the developer is very active and listens to its users.
I really enjoyed playing the game, it's exhausting and fun. Pro: - different enemies with different types of damage - you can upgrade the character and castle - you really need to run around and hide behind the wall so that arrows won't hit you :D con: - only 20 levels (so far) so total playtime is 1-1,5 h [PLEASE extend to maybe unlimited, because 20 LVLs are very fast to play through]
This game is really hard! The bowmen are like level 1000 mega-bosses... and probably a little too accurate initially, but I really like where this is going. It's more affordable than Quivr if you want to get your bow and arrow game on!

Interesting game! When you start buying upgrades the game really starts to shine -- I like the variety of tools/upgrades you get in order protect your castle, like bombs, and a tool to slap all the ladders off in a hurry. When the bowmen start shooting you it gets really intense, and you find yourself jumping and swaying back-and-forth and counter-attacking with your arrows in all directions -- I can honestly say I have never had an experience like that -- very Robin-Hood esque!
Loved the archery aspect of the game! Best use of bow and arrow I've seen for VR.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
I can't believe I wasted $4.79 USD on this game and I'm outside the refund period. Ugh! This game is terrible. Don't get me wrong, it's not the worst game in VR. It has a nice concept. With the laddermen coming up on the tower and battering rams. And you can get all these upgrades, like your own personal healer or boiling oil. That's all very good stuff and shows that they were trying to differentiate themselves from other bow games. However, two things keep this game from being any good. The biggest problem is the bow mechanic. It's not the worst, but it is subpar. It feels like you're shooting a nerf bow. You get used to it eventually, but it just never feels satisfying. The bow & arrow feels better in the Lab. The second thing is the graphics. They are laughably bad. What's the point of VR if things are just going to look this bland and generic and ps2 level graphics? Whoever came up with these assets, 3D models, needs to never do it again. I'm pretty sure if you gave me a month to work on it, I can come up with something better, and I'm not a good artist. So I'm stuck with this game. But don't make the same mistake I did. Do NOT buy. Out of all the archery games on Steam VR, this is not the worst, but it's in the bottom half or bottom third. Rate 4/10. Another E.A., Early Abandonment.
If you have "The Lab" then this game hardly adds anything of interest to archery combat that you don't get there and the controllers response feels nicer in The Lab.
