I really love the idea of this game, but the text is just so small. I had to look at a text box about 4 or 5 times before I realized what it said. If the text was made bigger and the game was given a zoom option, it would be fantastic.
Cute idea poorly executed. Shouldn't need to run Windows Magnifier... I'd be fine if the game had in-game magnification, in fact that's all it's really missing.
I cannot see or read a darn thing. I'm zoomed all the way in and I cannot see or read a darn thing. I simply cannot see where I am going at all.

a little adventure game. overall it's alright.
I got the SokPop subscription to get some games for my Steam Deck, but this game has an actual 4 pixel font that is impossible to read so that definitely didn't happen. Even on PC with zoom 2x and fullscreen this is still more of an eye strain than playing VR. Also the mouse disappears when over the game so I have trouble even using the windows magnifier to try and zoom in. I like the style and idea of this game, the fixed top-down camera angle and sound design are cool, but why is the text so dang small? Having a textbox pop up like a pokemon dialogue or Runescape with a larger face would also have made this game so much better. Also the lack of fanfare or continue option after completing the game is jarring, just makes you close the game. Guess I was done and not gonna go back and explore...
fun little game to spend an hour or two on. unfortunately the stark white is pretty bad for eyestrain & the text is insanely small even on 2x zoom, so that's something you should be aware of before getting this game. otherwise, no complaints :)
Pear Quest is one of those ridiculous conceptual experiments that works well, especially now that they've issued updates. Launching the game you're introduced to a very hard to see menu. Go down to Options, press 'x' to select the menu, and futz around with the Zoom and Full Screen options until you can get a comfortable resolution. At launch it was limited to 2X Zoom but they've upped it to 5X since then. I believe I was one of the people who beat the game using the Windows Magnifier tool, but that was three years ago so I can't quite place how that went. This is a game made using a minimal amount of pixels, where the entire map is made to be displayed on screen at once. It is a cute isometric adventure starring a lost rabbit who navigates an island while solving puzzles. I enjoyed my time with the main story, but I was not enough of a fan of the gameplay to go back and unlock the optional achievements.
