В целом неплохая игра, но кажись надо графон подтянуть
Игра "Gateway to the Kulikovo Field: The Battle of Yepifan" – достойный представитель жанра исторических стратегий, предлагающий игрокам погрузиться в события, предшествовавшие Куликовской битве. В целом, "Gateway to the Kulikovo Field: The Battle of Yepifan" – это увлекательная и познавательная игра, которая понравится любителям истории и стратегических игр. Она предлагает интересный взгляд на важный период русской истории и заставляет задуматься о тактике ведения военных действий. Рекомендую!

"Gateway to the Kulikovo Field: The Battle of Yepifan" is a weird little Russian VR tech demo. The game centers on a 16th-century archer tasked with defending Russia against the Crimean army. Players solve puzzles, develop defensive strategies, and engage in tactical combat to repel the enemy and protect Muscovy. Most of the assets look flipped, and this is short enough it comes across as a student project rather than something designed and intended to have value as a game for gamers. It does work, though. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.
