82 hours into Pax Dei I have to say the game is so beauitful. Now, this game has a great building element to it and you can pay for "plots" with real money or ingame currency. Which is a great balance. You can use these plots with friends to make massive castles or a simple humble little cottage. Does this mean you have to pay monthly? No you do not. But it does help and its not that much. The crafting in this game is really cool, It is a tad grindy with leveling your skills. But in 2026 they are addressing this and making changes to it. So there's a big positive. PVE is great and you can go off and explore the open world. which is truly massive. You can use the map to fast travel to places using something called grace which yopu can earn by using ingame gold to convert and logging in. PVP is something i have yet to experience but the clan i am in love it. So theres that. Speaking of clans, honestly its best to get into one as early as you can as it can help you bypass many hours of confusion and people really love to help. Espeically on RP servers.

Does Pax Dei have every feature that I'd love to see in my perfect MMO? No. Is it my favorite game of all time? Also no. But it's by far my favorite game right now. Then you might ask: if it doesn't have all the features I want, why do I still play it every single day? The simple answer is: the community. Pax is the type of game that rewards you for dedication, hard work, and time invested. And the people who are willing to appreciate those things are the people who I want to be around. The game instills a sense of accomplishment that I've found in only a handful of other MMOs, but none are as gorgeous and as immersive as Pax.
Great game, but after spending 139 hours playing, building my characters skills, and an impressive Norman style keep, the game crashed while I was playing and I've been unable to log in with that character for 2 weeks. I followed every tip and fix I could find on how to fix this issue and still I can't log in. It keeps getting stuck on the loading screen and times out.
Pax Dei closely resembles classic MMORPGs such as Everquest rather than more contemporary titles like World of Warcraft. The experience is highly immersive, allowing players to determine their own progression. The building system offers significant creative freedom; for instance, players can combine foundations, walls, and various other elements to construct unique structures. If you like Old School intense crafting MMO's like Star Wars Galaxies or Ultima Online this game is for you. If you like action combat console games, this game is not for you, its just that simple.
Pax Dai is an incomplete game where the development is still in progress. Some updates feel impactful while others are underwhelming. But the development does move forward some times just by inches. The game is intentionally lacking hand holding and narrative. You are simply allowed to exist in a big world where you create your own stories and make your own progression paths. If you are lucky enough to find a like-minded group to start a little village with your enjoyment mileage will increase exponentially. As a solo player without a core nucleus of other players the world will fill empty and lonely.

There is no way of hauling anything. No Vehicles, no animals just your 2 legs and 40 inventory slots. When you leave you house (wich your paying with IRL money btw) you wil run for about 200 maybe 300 meters before heading back due to full invetory. Basicly a walking simulator with a hell of a grind on everything. At the same time this is a empty game, the reason the grind takes so long is because they don't have many tiers to level. Its bronze to iron to wrought iron, where is the rest of your game ????? Bitcraft had more content, look how dead that game is. They did add a great troll tho, they put in a wheelbarrow with storage inside but even tho it has a wheel and handles you can't move it. Pure decoration. Great stuff.
good game, very immersive, skills progression is very slow, you gonna need a lot of patience or you will burn out ... after buying the game is possible to play for a very long time without spending any real money, you can renew your single plot with ingame currency Gold/Grace and dont need more than 1 plot to progress for a long time ... you can get gold by killing mobs and buy grace with gold , higher tier mobs give more gold, a small hosue will be less grind to mantain without spending any real money ... if you want to build a castle or a small town you better play with a group of friends or be ready to buy plot tokens with real money ... playing with a guild will make plot matainance much easy .... the "renewal plot token system" is necesary or the game will end up with full of "ghost towns" that can not be taken down ... the "plot token system" is pretty similar to Dune Awakening "base mantainance" system ... dont see any better solution to this problem ....
Pax Dei est moins un jeu de survie qu'un jeu de fabrication et de construction quand on arrive dans le monde. Ce MMORPG est unique en son genre vis à vis de ses équivalents puisqu'on peut le qualifier de "MMO artisanal" et que le PvE ne vous servira qu'à progresser dans le développement de votre habitat, de votre clan et du village auquel vous pourrez fièrement participer. Vous pouvez très bien y jouer en solo et comme tout autre MMO votre progression sera bien plus lente qu'au sein d'un groupe ou d'une guilde. Comme tout MMORPG, Pax Dei fonctionne par un système d'abonnement reposant sur un tarif bien moins élevé que les autres.
