I loved Balatro and this is a fresh take that toys with being a copycat but brings innovation and a new engaging experience.

I had to play this game for a fair bit before reviewing because like Silksong, it does not tell you anything. From the outside it looks like a normal Balatro game but the amount of depth is insane, like you actually have to play this to understand how many choices you can make at any point. When League released their minigame "The Demon's Hand" in client (Balatro gameplay), I played it everyday, more than Summoner's rift because I loved the visuals, it felt like you aren't just playing with cards but also interacting with the lore but with the same gameplay you love. I get that same feeling here with the cute theming around cats but more than that- I'm in love with the collectibles- If you are coming from these other card game genres like Magic or Pokemon, this aspect makes the game so much more fun than the other titles. You can collect toys, stamps, jokers open up booster packs and the cards also come in different rarities- like Stone, Gold, Foil, etc. You can play around with the multipliers, upgrade the combos (Pair, Flush, etc), play around the economy, which is especially impactful because the shop opens after every round. There are just so many layers to everything once you are done with some playthroughs and especially when you unlock Dungeon mode. Dungeon mode converts the game from roguelike to roguelite with persistent upgrades and decisions that stick with you, making for a more thoughtful gameplay. But in the end, I'd say the one thing that makes me play this game is the art. I'm usually playing online muliplayer, so if I'm ever playing a genre like this, it's to relax for the day and yes in that case I want my game to have taco cats, cat cupids and tons of cat puns.

thoroughly enjoy this game, a good single player deck-builder that doesn't get boring when you replay it. also its cute as hell with catchy music. love pawker. came back to add theres now a multiplayer function, even more reason to love the game

first impressions: fun! make poker hands to fight, it's like slay the spire + balatro + cats there are upgrades you can buy in a shop between combat, powerful jokers, and huge combos possible

The art, the cats, and the gameplay are really fun! I love it. It's very satisfying to achieve a high score and defeat enemies!

Interesting mechanics and the game does not really hold your hand (which I enjoy). Just unlocked Dungeon Mode, so I am looking forward to how creative I can get. There is a lot of potential for the Devs to expand on. Super interesting.

This game is a blast! The cat references and memes had me cracking up the whole time. Super good vibes all around. Easy 5 stars from me. miaw miaw!!
