Reviews
-game is dead most servers are empty -time to kill is wayy to long -sprint mechanic is clunky and annoyng -some attachments dont work for guns they should -only good servers are the modded once and mods take incredebly long to download. +great moding scene +fun vehicles

I used to genuinely enjoy playing Pavlov, to the point that sometimes my headset would die while playing it. It's fun when you can mod it and the mods actually work like they're supposed to. If they don't work, no problem, just find another mod to play on. I was completely unaware until recently that they updated the game to be compatible with PSVR players, which in turn took away all of my workshop mods. I thought to myself, cool, I can fix this by downgrading to an earlier version... Not even an option anymore. I am forced to run the current version of the game, which honestly pisses me off. I have looked on Mod.io for zombie maps that are actually worth a crap, and they're all 100% broken garbage that either crashes my game or they don't function properly. The workshop maps that I had were fleshed out, worked flawlessly, and even had custom guns at times. The fact that I am forced to play with broken mods or play base game GENUINELY pisses me off. The game used to be fun, and if I wrote a review a few years earlier, I would 100% tell you to get this game. Not now. I will be uninstalling, and I no longer recommend Pavlov. Maybe in the future, if they bring back the option for Legacy I'll download again, until then. No, sorry.
used to be my favorite vr shooter, good job breaking your game. controls are fubar. put the old controls back on.
No longer updated, it's dead
They killed my boy.
Do not recommend why they updated this to no longer use workshop on steam I will never know. Only way you can play good old zombies maps is if you down-patch to DEC 15th 2021 thats last update where workshop mods and maps still work. Idk why they moved it to Mod.io they really ruined everything that was good about this game, And no zombies maps did not get moved over to Mod.io there is like 3 maps. Its honestly so sad I had not played in years and wanted play some zombies only to be crushed and sadden. So all in all do not get idk why they ruined the game this way steam workshop is so much better and way more simple and its the easiest thing ever. just so dumb.... Sorry boiz game is over done cooked and not worth the money anymore...
There's no content or players on this version of the game, you're better off just buying the shack version of it.
Pavlov used to be one of the best VR shooters available. At its peak, it felt like the closest thing we had to CS:GO in VR: focused, competitive, simple, and genuinely fun. That version of the game is basically gone. The current game feels scattered between too many modes, custom content, and community-server gimmicks. Instead of strengthening the core shooter experience, Pavlov became a fragmented mod playground where the active playerbase feels split across whatever random mode is populated that day — usually TTT or other casual lobbies. If you are looking for a serious VR tactical shooter, this is no longer the first game I would recommend. The numbers do not help its case either. SteamDB currently shows Pavlov sitting around 127 players, with a 24-hour peak of 154, compared to its all-time peak of 3,221 back in January 2021. That is a brutal falloff for a multiplayer-only VR shooter. Steam also shows recent reviews as Mixed, despite the older lifetime score still being positive. The mod situation also did not help. Update 29 retired Steam Workshop support, moved content delivery to mod.io, and made older custom content incompatible unless it was updated. The developers framed it as part of the engine upgrade and cross-platform future-proofing, but from a player perspective, it felt like a hard reset that damaged a lot of the community content people actually cared about. Pavlov should have stayed focused: a strong CS-style VR shooter with a handful of polished modes and maps. Instead, it spread itself thin, divided the playerbase, and lost what made it special. There are better VR shooters now for almost every individual thing Pavlov tries to do. Not recommended. Honestly, if you’re looking for that CS-style experience in VR now, you’re better off elsewhere. Just go play Breachers. Yeah, it leans more toward Siege than classic CS, but it’s one of the only solid defuse-style shooters left in VR right now. Or you could try Vail… but let’s be real.
