Rating
6/10
Intro
Mind you, I only have this, since it was bundled with House of the Dead 1 and 2. But whereas those games feel somewhat fair, in the sense that you know where you went wrong, I can't really say the same for this. The gameplay itself is quite fun in concept, being essentially an expanded interation of the Tornado stages in Sonic Adventure 1. But because you have a limited amount of room to move, it makes for dodging what's coming towards you in more difficult stages unfairly tricky and because it's in third-person, there's depth perception issues as well. I doubt I'll come back to this one.
Positives
+ Good soundtrack. + Good enemy variety. + Weapons have good impact. + Good aesthetics and graphics.
Negatives
- Limited amount of movement to dodge enemies and their projectiles.
Puros nostalgiafags dándole positivos, es una MIERDA la jugabilidad, injugable esta bosta.
I just want to complain about how the dragon can't be controlled while you have a side view or back view, making it impossible to dodge literally anything if you're in that view. It also makes it your riders viewpoint, from 3rd to first person, making it disorienting to play. The visuals are pretty nice and the monsters seem fine, but I got to the first boss and quit. I'll keep it in my library uninstalled until some kind of updates are made.
Game is really fun especially if you like on-rail shooters. Honestly the game can be pretty janky at times and it shows its an old classic game. I do feel like the controls when ur going to shoots on ur sides & back are a bit broken? When i switched to the sides or back i couldn't move the dragoon and had to rely on shooting any projectiles which honestly made switching cameras a bit frustrating but despite that it was fun to get through. Just keep in mind this game is very wonky and has a funny ending.
This needs turbo controls. *Edits steam controls to set B to turbo at fastest setting* Hmm....better turn that difficulty up. It's cool, but its kind of a relic of its time. This has an arcade feel but without arcade hardware to supplement the experience, and graphics being somewhat irrelevant, the game feels shallow. Even on hard, the pressure is too low. There's no aerial maneuvers beyond bobbing and weaving, and the best defense is just blasting everything. With Turbo, that's too easy.
I never tried the original one so can't say about the improvements but it was worth playing and the music was good. However this 100 hour achievement is totally unnecessary, maybe someday I will keep it open in the background to 100% the game.
muito bom
Não.
Reminds me of the Drakengard flight missions. (Square Enix got inspired with this one, huh?) I love it!
