somehow worse than project gorgon
This game is brilliant, lots of potential, no mindlessly running between mission markers, real danger in exploration at night, very difficult, death is brutal but that adds to the challenge, please make this game compatible with controllers

Omg this game looks terrible for this time and age we are in. Even old everquest look better than this garbage. The gameplay is terrible and slow. No map really and i am suppose to go online and look at maps?? Refunded.
Not ready yet. Feels like an early alpha test. if that.
It reminds me of an EQ and Warcraft mix. The game has a ways to go but is otherwise enjoyable. I would have preferred to pay <20$.
if it was in 2001 it will work
Current Rating: 2/5 – Has potential, but progression feels cheap and grindy Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen feels like a mix of Mortal Online 2 and classic EverQuest/WoW, especially when it comes to PvE, gathering, skills, and crafting. It nails the nostalgic tone with a strong focus on exploration and figuring things out on your own. There's a lot of satisfaction in wandering the world, mastering your class, and crafting gear that genuinely helps you improve. Stats and masteries grow as you play, and the way you can shape your build or gear through crafting is a great concept. You’re not just handed everything — you have to think and earn your way forward. The world itself has a lot of potential and rewards curiosity over hand-holding, which I respect. That said, the current state of the game feels more like a chore than a challenge. Combat is slow, repetitive, and punishing without being fun. You’re stuck in this loop of fighting low-level mobs, sitting to recover, selling junk, and gaining almost nothing until you hit every other level. Skills are sparse, and gear progression lacks impact. Most enemies either melt or destroy you, with little middle ground. Leveling is a slog. You're killing the same mobs for hours with no meaningful reward. Enemy placements feel lazy, and there’s very little variety in both enemy types and loot. Weapons, armor, and accessories are generic, and rare or unique drops are basically non-existent. Even the gathering system, while initially promising, quickly becomes repetitive due to a lack of node diversity. Team-based play helps, but it feels like a band-aid over deeper systemic problems. As it stands, solo players are punished, and the core gameplay feels like a time sink rather than something genuinely engaging or rewarding. I want to like Pantheon. It has strong bones and a clear vision. If the devs focus on making progression more rewarding, add real variety to enemies, loot, and smooth out the grind, it could absolutely grow into something worth investing in. When asking in chat if they game feels playable, the overall response was, "its a loaded question." Understanding the game is not finished, the majority (mostly people with 100s-1,000s of hours) should not be reply this way or something is really misplaced in the game. The journey needs to be exciting, with the first 5-10 hours absolutely confusing, 10-20 hour mark finally getting basic mechanics 21-50 hours beyond exciting and new, 50-200 hours full of growth and enjoyment, and 200+ hour wondering what additional possibilities await. BUT INSTEAD at the 30 hour mark of confusion, you are wondering why am I playing this farville simulator. Right now, though, it’s a frustratingly shallow experience hidden inside a deep world. Current Score: 2/5 Future Potential: 3.5/5 if major progression and balance issues are addressed
PTR is a complete Intergalactic cluster F#%k and regression in a ten year endeavor of disappointment. Each iteration is one more step away from the original pitch, until all that is left is another MMO undecipherable from the plethora of dung.
A game that used to be promising on the hands of very inept developers. Aside of all the drama of the staff of the game giving advantages to one guild the game sees little to no development at all. Classes are mostly WIP with no real foundation in any of them, they don't feel much different. Playerbase is almost extinct only ones that stay in the game are those favored by the staff of the game so I hope those have enough money to sustain the game in long term cause I don't see any influx of player going in now that the hype has passed and devs have shown their real face. Tbh just play Everquest or project 1999, heck you even better off playing Project Gorgon
