About

Step into the role of a commander in a vast fantasy world.
Manage, train, and lead your heroes to forge the strongest Alliance squad.
1. Innovative Multi-Character Management System
Unlike traditional RPGs that focus on a single hero, Panoptica allows you to nurture up to eight heroes simultaneously.
Each hero explores a different region independently, embarking on their own unique adventure.
2. Real-Time Four-View Battle Observation Mode
Through the four-panel Command Mode, you can monitor multiple ongoing battles in real time.
Step in instantly during emergencies to adjust your strategy, or focus on upgrading your heroes' equipment and skills when the situation is stable.
3. Party Dungeons
While individual heroes hunt autonomously across the field, you can form two-hero parties to challenge high-difficulty dungeons.
Experiment with combinations such as tank and DPS, or mage and healer, to defeat powerful bosses that would be impossible to face alone—earning both exciting rewards and the satisfaction of cooperative play.
4. The Essence of Strategic RPG Management
Go beyond simple leveling and become a true commander of heroes.
Assign characters to optimal battlefields based on their classes and traits, distribute equipment efficiently, and manage skill trees to maximize synergy.
With precise auto-battle customization, you can design and control the battlefield exactly as you envision it.
The satisfaction of growing up to eight heroes simultaneously delivers a new sense of accomplishment never before felt in traditional RPGs.
5. Aesthetic of Medieval Fantasy and TRPG Charm
Featuring parchment-style visuals reminiscent of classic tabletop RPGs, Panoptica digitally recreates the nostalgic feeling of rolling dice with friends around a table.
Each region offers its own monsters and treasures, and as your exploration deepens, a richer world and lore unfold before you.

Very good for a Smooth Brain Day. First 10hrs are well enough to get through with upgrades and adventuring. About Level 6 You start needing to grind and it really become an Idle RPG. I really like it. Especially when I don't wanna think but I like seeing the little characters run around.

I did enjoy this early on but at some point it becomes a grind of leaving it open for hours a day (ideally 24/7 which I refuse to do) hoping for purely RNG based drops which you can then upgrade using resources that have no pity system while your characters regularly get stuck and stop making progress for hours. It's RNG on top of RNG combined with bugs that do not get fixed, not worth playing.
To preface this review, I played in Offline mode, and have all the achievements (1933 hours played, if you want an idea how long that might take if you're a completionist). Panoptyca surprised me when I started playing. I'm used to idlers where progress continues even while the game isn't running, but that's not how this game works. The game has to run if you want to progress. Your offline time builds up points which act as a resource to fuel up to four passive buffs that increase EXP/Gold/Drops Quantity/Drop Quality/Etc... for as long as those points last. You can pick and choose which ones you want active, which means you can prolong specific buffs if you need to, at the cost of others. The game works on a loot drop system, with upgrade tokens for gear. You can salvage gear you don't need for these tokens. You earn gold only by killing enemies in the stages. There's no option to sell any of your stuff to an NPC. Character power/progress is heavily reliant on gear and gear level, to the point that it'll make the difference between entering a stage and being one-shot, to having that same stage on auto-farm. Skills are acquired and leveled up through skill books. While they also contribute to player power (especially skills that increase the number or projectiles every 5 levels of the skill), it never felt as if it made a huge difference, or that a low leveled skill was a hard wall to progression. Panoptyca does have a cash shop including a premium currency, but the game is so generous that you'll never need it. Even if you do have lots of disposable income, you'll find that the cash shop doesn't offer you a pay-to-win option. The only gear it offers is random chests for accessories, and the drop rates on the best accessories are so abysmally low that there are players who have played as long as I have (or longer) and never seen it happen. While you can buy upgrade tokens (upgraded gear being the true source of power progression) you're limited in how many you can buy per day, and the only options to buy them with the premium currency are for randomized tokens, so you won't know if you can even get the grade you need for the armor you need to upgrade. The best way to start is to focus on one character, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't add others. More characters farming means more loot, and loot can be broken down into upgrade tokens that can be upgraded to higher tiers at a 10-to-1 conversion rate. Focusing on a single character, however, lets you progress further and gain access to new content farms. The Shadow Temple will be a huge benefit once you reach it, as you can collect mystic ash which is used to create the higher tier accessories. They're powerful (if hard to level because of the rarity of accessories dropping outside of the Shadow Temple), and will help you overcome progression walls. There is a lack of quality-of-life systems, unfortunately. Storage is limited (although I've yet to find a cap for how much of a single item you can store in a single slot, and I had over a million of one type of magic stone). While you can set filters for scrapping items, you still have to manually destroy them. An auto-salvage function has been discussed for the future, but isn't available as of the time of writing this review. Player-Character AI is pretty good, but not perfect. You can adjust individual settings to head straight to a boss (to farm magic stones), or to clear an entire level (for loot). There aren't many levels where your characters can form parties yet, but more are planned in the future. Overall, it's a good game if you don't mind an idler that isn't so idle. The game plays itself for the most part, it just needs to be running, and you need to salvage gear occasionally. There are plenty of other ways to progress player power (commander levels, as an example), which you'll learn as you play. I give Panoptyca a solid 8/10, with the caveat that its rating would probably go to a 9/10 once the auto-salvage feature is added. If nothing else, I want to give kudos to the devs who made a cash shop with a premium currency that is so utterly optional that even if I want to buy gems, I'd have no idea what to spend them on just because the options are that limited by daily refreshes anyways. Have fun, folks!
