A work in progress at launch here, but a project of passion from this new indie developer on Steam. He's already fixed several little bugs and taken a few of my suggestions to make this game better to heart and made the suggestions I advised in videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOLQr2IWd_Y I like this, and I LOVE the value here at just $5 USD. The skill tree and inventory system are beyond impressive and well worth the price alone. More to come to this review as I play this game more but great job to this admirable indie developer!
Scratch the surface and you will find a pretty decent Action RPG. Struggled at first, and the title looked fairly barebones but slowly found that this title has all the ARPG components. You have the normal merchant, potion seller, healer, stash etc. Upgrade paths are particularly impressive as is the variation in the enemies that you will find. Graphics might be fairly basic, but the game-play is there.A good value for money title!
Warning: AI Slop This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.
Storms 2 is an overambitious and ultimately failed attempt at making an ARPG with a somewhat dark fantasy theme (not completely unlike Diablo in tone). The game uses an unusual and rather awkward directly top down perspective and features welcome depth in terms of RPG system, mechanics and world sizing. [strike]One important note is that even though this is an amateur project, it does seem to be sincerely and genuinely made. I couldn't find any flipped assets, plagiarism or any other kind of insincere actions from the developer, but unfortunately genuine intentions alone are not enough to produce a brilliant PC gaming experience.[/strike] [Edit] The developer inadvertently advised in a breach of Valve guidelines that this is at least partially made with disgusting AI slop. This is an insult to gamers and real game developers and creators everywhere. And, unfortunately, it's got a laundry list of defects, and it also looks as if some of the game "art" is unattributed AI slop; the developer failing to declare this, if true, is problematic, and the use of AI slop in games is never okay. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. In fact I couldn't find anything in the way of a serious configuration menu at all. The writing is quite bad and riddled with spelling and grammar errors. The gameplay is extraordinarily clunky and unpolished. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 110,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 110,000+ games on Steam? Storms 2 is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 14,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.

Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
The developer admits they didn't hire a team of talented staff to produce the game and tried to do the whole thing on their own, instead. This is a lot like boarding an airplane, and halfway through the flight, having the pilot come out and serve peanuts. It's going to end in disaster. It requires a team of competent people to do a complex job properly, and that's not what has happened here... another explanation for the poor quality of this game. Worse, the developer now admits they used disgusting AI slop... and failed to disclose this despite Valve absolutely requiring that developers warn gamers when disgusting AI slop is used. Nothing in the developers pointless breach of Valve guidelines changes any of the objective facts of my review, but I have amended my review to note the disgusting use of AI slop and to better warn gamers about this practice.
Pick a class and explore a vast top-down world. So much progression to gain game changing skills, places to explore, loot to find and monsters to battle. Quite addictive, and affordable too. https://youtu.be/mZabXkcGVBo
Entire stash wiped when i went to pick up where i left off awhile ago with items that took me a long time to get
A Genuinely fun game from an indie dev, Has a lot of charm and in depth gameplay skill tree building mechanics. Excited to see what is done with this game as it continues to develop. If you're looking for a new indie game to try out and put a little time into you wont be disappointed.
it looks alright. . but actually very boring.
Thankfully the save error was fixed it seems! It is a great game overall! Try it!!
Indie Game with Lots of progression and abilities to unlock. Fun to venture through leveling up and discovering how each new ability and skill works. and Developer is actively working on providing updates and improvements. There's definitely enough here just within the various abilities and variety of loot to justify $5 in my opinion.
This game was introduced to me by my boyfriend because it's a relatively easy game to pick up for someone like me, who is a very newby novice. I don't really play video games or computer games but this one was easy enough for me to pick up and is very entertaining. All of the components make this game highly enjoyable and keeps me coming back for more. If you are looking for a game to get your SO hooked on so you can both enjoy gaming, this is it.
