I eat cereal for lunch. Or atleast I do now cuz I don't get time to make food cuz of this game. Oni is complex. There is no denying that. Yes, it has an insane learning curve, which scared me at first too, and yes, even if you learn everything properly, it can feel boring at times; but oni is, in my opinion atleast, one of the most relatable games out there. It is a sandbox but unlike other sandboxes I've tried where I feel bored after a few play throughs, oni genuinely feels exciting to me. Tho this is my first sandbox colony management game (I haven't played games like factories, dwarf fortress, rimworld etc) so I might be exaggerating on stuff that is basically common to all such games. What I liked: Brain upgrade: You will spend so much time in this game literally staring at the screen and doing flipping math of all things that it's actually insane. You will probably increase your iq by a few points doing that. Jokes aside tho, oni really makes you think. There is no plug and play solution that works everywhere. You'd be lucky if a few "modifications" to a popular build or method is all you need to make it work. Im an idiot: Player accountability in the game is basically 100%. Oni doesn't speak enemies randomly or try to drown your dupes. You do. The black unknown in oni unfolds as you explore. You have plenty of time to correct any mistakes. Lost water? Maybe you didn't notice that the whole greenhouse bristle blossoms is taking over 400kg water per cycle. Base getting hot? How about you stop running 10 industrial machines right next to the crops? Lost oxygen? Why didn't you pay attention to your algae supplies? Every failure of the colony is on you and you alone. (Tho I admit dupes will try their very best to screw themselves over all the time) Flipping math: nothing in this game is easy without it. Want food? Calculate the food given by your plants per cycle and divide by 1000. That's how many crops you need....FOR 1 DUPE!!! Oh, want to use electrolyzers to make oxygen? Well first calculate the o2 requirements of your colony, and compare that to the max produced by the electrolyzer. Then calculate the amount of water produced by your sources (steam vent, water geysers) and manage their cooling, flipping buoyancy of hydrogen and oxygen and also the 1kg limit of gas pipes....and congratulations you're halfway done for a spom. All you need now is to self power it, cool the oxygen and make sure the electrolyzers don't run out of water!!! Every single build you find in the oni community will have math. This game just cannot work without it. I like math, so that's a huge W for me Things I disliked: Mid game phase: by the time I get to mid-game phase of oni, there is so much to do it genuinely gets very overwhelming. Want more power? Oh no, the heat will kill your crops. Want oxygen? Oh no, how will you cool the 50°C O2??? Want a glass forge? Wait..where's your power for that?? Things just start getting cyclic like this. Of course, a big part of that problem is that I just don't properly think things through. But yeah, mid-game will either make or break you. 0 iq dupes: The duplicants in this game are mind bogglingly stupid. They will literally drown themselves just cuz I asked them to dig one tile. Nothing else to say really. Other than that, they are absolute chads for being able to carry 200kg items casually without breaking a sweat Lag: I have an Intel Core Ultra 7255H processor. Yet I only get like 70 fos at cycle 94. Oni is heavily single core dependent. Which is such a shame cuz that means even the most flagship CPUs cannot get playable fps after a few hundred cycles. And yeah, that's all. If you're reading this far, then you're probably the type of person who likes to research things through, which is exactly the type of people oni favours most!
отправил их копать шахты что бы они помучались и поняли что такое настоящее отсутствие кислорода, в шахтах кислорода оказалось больше....
