About
Take care of a group of travelers on a post-apocalyptic road-trip across the United States in this turn-based survival game. Fight scary creatures, rescue stranded survivors, and scavenge for supplies like fuel, first aid kits, and weapons. Decide where to go next, whether it's upgrading this wrecked car, or rescuing that dog. Just remember, there are consequences for every action. Get ready for close calls, dramatic escapes, hard choices, arguing about whether or not that dog gets rescued, and the end of the world.
Overland Version 1.2 is now available! Explore the end of the world with new pug dog companions and new rest stop levels. Enjoy the new introduction and prologue! This version includes 3 new difficulty settings, 7 new game modifiers including all dogs mode, tourist mode, and expert settings. You can browse records from your past trips and check out updated badge and stats displays. Overland v1.2 also includes dialog, item and environment updates to make Overland even better.
Features:
Always keep fuel in the tank. Stay away from the creatures. Be careful. Be quiet.
Loud sounds attract trouble, and there's no way you can fight them all. Grab as much gas as you can, rescue that trapped stranger, and get back in the car before it's too late.
Travel West, through grasslands, over mountains, across deserts, and to even stranger places. Every level, roadmap, and character is randomly generated, so each trip is new.
Equip dozens of items, including medkits, shields, axes, potted plants, scavenged armor, and luggage racks.
A completely new end of the world from Finji (Canabalt, Night in the Woods).

中规中矩的战棋游戏,美术挺好的,一局五六小时吧,难度适中
Wonderful, quirky little zombie survival game. (No, there are no actual zombies, just aliens, but they're slow, lumbering brutes, who you can bash over the head with improvised melee weapons if you like, but it's rarely worth it because the sound will draw a swarm -- that makes it a zombie game to me). Anyway, let's start with the art style: I absolutely adore it! And the vibe is a bit Stephen King-esque, which I also enjoy. If you don't enjoy those things, you may be less forgiving of this game's other flaws. And it is a flawed game, the kind of beautifully flawed one that makes you wish the dev had just... done more with it. All the gameplay details are so well done - I particularly like the attention paid to fire as an environmental effect - and the tactical pacing is superb, where perfect play will basically always get you through unscathed, but even the slightest mistakes can snowball into disaster. On the other hand, tho, there's just not enough. There's not enough variety in the maps, there's not enough variety in the scenario goals, and most importantly to me, there aren't enough viable gameplay strategies. There is IMO one strategy that is so superior that there's no motivation to experiment, and the game never throws any real curveballs to shake you out of it. You have to force yourself to play badly if you want to experience the variety available, and that's just not great game design. Still, I love this game for what it is.
I think the thing that makes Overland great for me is how evocative it is. There's such an implication of wider, coherent world, and achieved with so relatively few elements. Sparce in its parts but rich in its implication. If you like the vibes you'll be in for a great time.
actually insanely good
Very boring, very easy to break, very fiddly to control.
Very nice artstyle, I love the character bios, the doggies, and general atmosphere. Despite its cutesy style, it's extremely challenging though!
