Found this game because of Cracking the Cryptic on youtube. Never would have thought a sudoku roguelite could be a thing!
"Overhaul" is an unholy hybrid between a Logic Puzzle and Brutal Arcade. Personally, I don't think these two genres should be married together. While you're attempting to deduce a timed puzzle, you suddenly get whacked to death! Whereupon you magically reincarnate and play the exact same rooms all over again. Roguelikes are supposed to employ map-generation, and not contain static custom-made rooms. After a couple replays, the easy rooms are removed and you're forced to play in even more punishing rooms. So, you no longer have a choice to decide what rooms to choose. I also encountered a bug where my character was permanently stuck at the start of my second run. Bottom Line: It's great to see Futoshiki finally available on Steam. Unfortunately, you will die plenty trying to finish the puzzle.

My biggest complaint is that it only took me 7.4 hours to 100% the achievements. It's quite good, ye. Not too hard if you're good at solving sudoku puzzles. Just wish it had longer runs as an option.
Wish the game had more honest advertising, because this game is not a blend of puzzles and action, or has "logic-based puzzles", or has "all new challenges" every time you enter the room. It's single grid Sudoku(i.e. one 3x3 to one 6x6 grid). That's the only puzzle there is. From there, the only challenge there is in the game's many different rooms is how that will be as annoying to solve as possible. Will a clock give you a time limit? Will a switch on the opposite end of the room need to be pressed every 10 seconds so you're allowed to keep solving the puzzle? Will something try to slap you or block you or shoot at you? How about all of those at once? Items are mostly dull too. More health, mash the button less to move obstacles, move faster. Nothing that's changing up the gameplay of "solve Sudoku, dodge things". If that's how the game had sold itself, I would have known to steer clear. But it didn't, so thumbs down.
cool game
I love puzzles and I love roguelites and I applaud the creativity in combining genres here... but I just don't think it works here. Like why? How does one genre contribute to the other? It's either annoying obstacles when you are trying to solve a puzzle, or it's an annoying puzzle part when you are trying to kill an enemy. They don't mesh.
despite my short play time i definetly like the game, its definetly play on the rogue like genere. the puzzles are all sodoku where the rules are cant have the same number on rows and columns. i am not great at sodoku when under pressue so its sort of okay. last couple of games that were this hard i refunded them. however i plan to keep this because i like the creativity with it. however i do wish there were more than sodoku puzzles
