Fun little metroidvania. The bow is a lot of fun to use and they come up with some neat progression elements that utilize it. Map is bigger than I expected while still being fun to explore (minus some areas where it's unclear if it's blocked off from one direction). I also enjoyed the bosses. While it mostly controls well, I dislike that the direction the bow fires waits until like a second after you hit the button, because it makes lining up certain shots really annoying. You don't need this to progress but I feel like it should just take the direction when I release the shoot button quite honestly. Also you cannot wall jump while in hit invulnerability. This makes it really frustrating cause you will just get stuck in certain areas unable to get out and just keep taking more and more damage. I also feel that while the bow upgrades start really strong, getting the vines and fire decently early, they don't feel as useful towards the latter half of the game. It feels odd cause you really only have like, one combination that does anything notable too. Game also starts a bit rough with such low health, but after getting a couple hearts it doesn't matter much, I actually found it too easy when I beat the last boss. It's not a perfect game, but I had a good time with it and I think it lasts just as long as you need it to.

Honestly, I was expecting a simple retro platformer and would have been very happy with that, but in reality, this "project" goes far beyond that. It has a magnificent soundtrack, captivating locations + boss fights, and extremely engaging gameplay mechanics. It would probably be absolutely amazing if this game had an additional, toggleable option for fast travel between save rooms. But overall, even without these "modern delights", this game exceeds all possible expectations. So, I highly recommend it to all retro gaming enthusiasts.
The lack of fast travel killed my interest in finishing this title, there's only so many times I can drag myself from one end of the map to another only to discover YET AGAIN that I don't have the necessary skill/item/whatever to advance. There's a lot to like here, especially in terms of the music and art direction. None of that matters when the game itself isn't any fun to play, though.
Great metroidvania with interesting power ups and lots of secrets. It really surpassed my expectations.
jogo dificil do caralho e com controles merdas, muito bom se você reclamar da dificuldade você é viado
Excellent game! The gameplay is challenging and immersive, the controls are tight and responsive, the graphics are minimalistic yet gorgeous, the lore is really cool, and the SFX and soundtrack are absolutely amazing. I’m glad I stumbled upon this. It’s a shame it has so few reviews. More people should definitely know about this hidden gem. 10/10
Great little underrated metroidvania with awesome gameboy-inspired graphics. The pixelart looks better than the game banner, there are some fun powers to mess about with and all that with just five buttons (jump, shoot, map and menu, as well as a button to stand still to aim). My first run was 6 hours and I got most collectibles (missing some apples and a heart), but there is an achievement to do a 1,5 hour speedrun. By shifting color palletes each area has its own feel. The bosses have some fun attack patterns to learn and I had to retry a lot of the first ones... The only downside of the game is that it feels unbalanced. The game is a bit unforgiving at first, especially during the boss fights, but the later ones aren't that hard as the ability to combine arrow effects makes the player a bit overpowered - especially if you use the apples to upgrade your gear, but I can see myself coming back to the later bosses one day on a no-upgrade run to challenge myself. Not bad at all, considering the current sale offers the game for a mere 89 cents.
