Gotta love a game that lets you find some absurdly overpowered combo to abuse
It's bad, man. I really wanted to like this and the bones of a super cool little game are here, but the difficulty is too high for this to be as fun as it almost is.

nice game, as someone said before me, it may not be worth it at full price, but with a good discunt, is a good game by its cost, has some issues, but its really fun, i really enjoy it
Sick game
What an incredibly well made little game. I think it's little, I haven't quite finished it yet. The exploration and advances in abilities are extremely satisfying. The movement and sound are just about perfect. I'm playing with the keyboard and I have no complaints about running, jumping, climbing. Once you get used to the shooting system and timing your shots so your quiver has a chance to reload, it's so much fun. The map is interconnected well with so many reasons to come back when you enhance your abilities to open up new areas. The save points are often enough without being too generous. The good thing is once you collect an item, it is yours even if you die before a save point. It costs a small amount of gold to respawn and at first I was worried about that, but eventually you realize you can farm gold if you so desire and you will have plenty even if you die a few times. I will say that if the developer hadn't added the option for 'easy boss fights' I probably wouldn't be writing this review. The boss fights are kinda stressful lol. I appreciate that option so much. I can enjoy the exploration and regular minions without having to stress over the boss fights. It is a great option for players who love most of the aspects of a metroidvania without the crazy difficult boss fights. Thanks for that! All in all, this is a super addictive game that starts off looking pretty simple but eventually you get caught up in it and the creatures and the map all have their own personalities that keep you coming back. Job well done and my money was well spent on this one!
Charming metroidvania with great music.
This is OK, but I'm going with No because the list of "well that's too bad" factors just keeps growing. - Fast travel is basically nonexistent - Controls are OK but movement never really feels fluid, maybe because there are no movement upgrades at all - That said there are boss fights and platforming challenges where it feels like the actual challenge is just getting the game to recognize the inputs I'm putting in as intended - For a low stakes example of this, there's a room that ends up with 2 NPCs near each other after a boss fight. The same button is used for talk and for jump. Once they are both present, you have to be nearly pixel perfect where you are standing in order to jump rather than talk. In that case it doesn't matter, but it's representative - There's one main currency and it's acquired by constantly chasing after coins that are created when you shoot an enemy and which go flying in the opposite direction. There are other sources but that's the main one. - The secondary currency (often rewarded for platforming challenges and in hidden rooms) is the main thing you'll want to backtrack for, but the above points make backtracking annoying - I don't mind the graphics but combined with the small room size, it makes things feel very samey despite generally good map design There are a lot of good elements here, it just starts to feel like monotonous busywork despite them.
