Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.14/day in the week to Aug 20 → 109.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
A WW1 action game built around fully destructible battlefields where chaos reigns supreme. Explosions tear through terrain, fortifications collapse, and the front line can change shape minute to minute.
Over The Top: WWI turns the grim setting of the Great War into a frantic playground of destruction where plans rarely ever survive first contact.
Charge as a rifleman, build as an engineer, clear trenches as a pyromaniac flamethrower specialist, or call in airstrikes as an officer. Each class has a clear job on the battlefield, plus plenty of room for improvisation. Choose from three factions: France, Britain, or Germany, each with eight distinct classes. Unlock new equipment and customization as you play.
A dynamic, destructive WW1 Sandbox: blow up everything, dig anywhere, reshape trenches, collapse buildings, destroy fortifications. Explosions leave permanent changes that affect sightlines, routes, and cover. Fight across multiple maps, playable in different seasons and daytimes. Use the full map editor to create and share your own battlegrounds.
Dive into massive 200-player battles! Drop into the middle of an epic war movie, packed with flying debris, collapsing trenches, charging tanks and objectives changing hands as the ground itself gets carved up - pure multiplayer madness awaits you.
Bring flamethrowers, poison gas, shovels, dynamite, artillery, airplanes, machine guns, and a lineup of vehicles and experimental tanks. Gear up with a mix of historical weapons, use a vast lineup of different vehicles, and other items: slap enemies with a baguette or play the bagpipe to boost morale! Have you ever driven a tank with 10 other players inside? In our game, you can do so!

Dead Game
It´s not a bad game and its a matter of my personal taste. My game preferences are at the bottom. Quick paced arcade ww1 shooter with much atmosphere, but though it does allmost all things right. The problem is the battlefields are quite small. I compare it to size of the battlefields in Easy Red 2. Overall I think the gameplay is janky and not so fun compared to Easy Red 2, Tannenberg, Verdun. Not dead! People wrote that it´s dead and it doesnt have so many servers, that is not really true and there are several servers with players on. + Ai squad where you can command them like in EasyRed2,Arma series + Engineers can build a lot of cool stuff on the battlefield + Dig your own grave/trench. Very cool thing. Unfortunatly there is a limit of 2 meters depth. If there wasn´t I´m sure there would have been superfun and interesting tunnelbattles but I guess it does not fit the developers vision of the game and it would no longer portray the ww1 trenchwarfare even though it would have been so much fun. + Really nice with a campaign battlefield where you progress map after map to depending on how the campaign goes. + Music, old records playing from the 1914-1918, fantastic + Models looks fantastic + Lots of customizations for different classes with unlocks - No campaign mode in singleplayer, don´t know why, not good replayability when the playerbase dies out. - Can not go in through windows (like in Easy Red 2) - To small cramped battlefields that does´nt offer so much tactical battles - Janky animations - Bots can move towards objective at the start of battle but you are blocked by an invisible transparent red wall When you speak with mic you are monitored by the developers from what I understand through the forums on steam. I more enjoy : Easy red 2, ww1 mods with big battlefields and lots of free ww2 campaigns + cheap DLCs Tannenberg,Verdun https://store.steampowered.com/app/1324780/Easy_Red_2/ Military games I love: Darkest hour: Europe 44-45,Project reality,OFP,Arma2,Easy red2,Arma3,Arma reforger

i feel obligated to write a review for this wonderful game. its a very fun and very chaotic WW1 shooter that doesnt take itself too seriously. Its easy to get started and the game doesnt make it hard for you to start understanding the battlefield. When compared to other WW1 titles like isonzo its easier to get kills and to have a satisfying gaming experience. The community seems helpful, whenever i had a question the chat would answer it. As of July2026 i was always able to find active servers (you'll mostly have 2 servers) with around 70-150 people on it - whenever you have a low player count in multiplayer bots will be added but the games will still be fun. I really cant complain about this game, so get on it ;)
Okay, I am going to post this review because I have been seeing some negative "reviews" of the game on Reddit and other sites, mainly from those who are looking for more realistic shooters and are trashing the game and the developers for no real reason. This game is NOT a Military Simulator (MilSim), and was never advertised as such. It is a sandbox shooter where you, your team, and the enemy CREATE your own trench warfare and have a blast destroying and reshaping maps by carving out the land, or destroying an entire town or village. With that said, it EXCELS at this being a fun game because not only do you make these vast trenches and wreak carnage onto fields of wheat and some poor farmers homestead,, but it STAYS that way when you play that map again! The devs are fairly active on their official discord server and communicate with the community on what they want, as well as encouraging the community in making custom maps of their own that they select which will be in the rotation of the official maps player can play in. These devs care for the community, and love seeing what they can make as they work in the background on the next update. If you read about FSE, they were originally modders for the game Mount & Blade: Warband, they aren't some big company or dev studio either. Another thing to note about this game, you can unlock EVERYTHING after a few matches, if not for several classes. There are little-to-no microtransactions in this, and the devs are clear on not adding anything of the sorts. DLC Updates are also FREE, meaning anyone can install them, not pay, and enjoy the game without paying their way to anything or have a huge paywall to "unlock" something like a camo or gun. Any cosmetics you see on the store that are for sale are for gaffs, something fun to have and to support the studio and future develop of the game. Plus, they aren't expensive either, and it doesn't appear the devs are really pushing for pricey cosmetics as with each update that has released as of writing this review have been free and unlockable by playing the game. Another fun thing about this game; proxy chat. there is no dedicated chats for you and your team, everyone can be heard, including the enemy. The amount of times I have had the enemy shout down at me to have a fist fight or or call for a duel when they get the element of surprise is always fun to hear, as well as the many reenactors who go full-on balls to the wall with shouting to fix bayonets or to charge in close proxy to the enemy is hilarious as they respond in some joking matter to it. Hell, I made some good friends in this game from proximity chat alone, even if they were on the enemy team. Now, the main issue with the game atm is simply player count, which has DRASTICALLY decreased since launch and the past four or five months since the game released. I get it, this is a niche title, and people will try it, see the bugs it had, as well as not understand the game or not live up to their expectations, and leave it. But since then, they game has become more polished, has had money bugs and glitches fixed, and has otherwise become great to play. Would I give this game a do not recommend because it has only at the moment 100-300 players on it every day? Maybe if it was in a worse state. But it's not. The devs are working to fix the game as much as they can, listening to bug reports on Steam and Discord, and adding more stuff and fixing issues the community had since. Overall, this game deserves this positive review because it stands out as a great third-person sandbox shooter for everyone to enjoy, whether you are a casual player, or someone who wants that somewhat realistic experience of chaos during a battle (Though we all out here goofing about and having a fun time :D) Oh, and you can create your own servers and have your own custom maps and game modes of sorts in it (Back then there was a zombie survival server, was really fun when you got 20+ guys holding down a fort.) TL:DR - Great game with friends, very much pro-community developers and system, no microtransactions, a somewhat niche game, but overall a fun game to play, and hope it makes a comeback with the American Expeditionary Force Update and has that steady 500-1000 players always online to have some fun battles. 9/10
Fun, and very hectic playing online. Still fun against bots offline. Play online for the challenge, and offline for better immersion. It was primarily designed to be a 3rd person shooter, but it can be played in 1st person as well, and server operators can force 1st person as well. Destruction is great, and the terrain deformation and trench building makes things interesting. Building defensive structures can sometimes be a bit janky, but not terrible and has been improved since initial release. Aircraft, armored vehicles, and tanks are fun to use and very powerful if used properly... Though I will say, I wish the aircraft flew in a more realistic manner. But, I can't expect a ground warfare focused game to have realistic flight dynamics so it's not a deal breaker. Audio is great. Everything feels powerful, nothing stands out to me as feeling out of place. It's a fun shooter, and very well done especially having been made by only 4 developers. Check it out on a free weekend to get a feel for the madness, and at less than $20 its a good deal.
This is a dead game
Absolute bottom barrel dead game trash, think BF1 but everything is worse.
The game is dead. Just a bunch of school shooter types running around now sadly.
Not a casual player friendly game. shooting is odd and even standing still or crouched the precession is off. (I understand the timeframe of the game but this is not a realistic type shooter) between the tanks and planes killing you constantly and the gut running around with a mounted machine gun it is for sure over the top.
Over The Top captures the brutal chaos of World War I without needing a blockbuster budget. Every push across no man's land feels dangerous, every trench feels hard-earned, and every plan has a habit of falling apart the moment bullets start flying. The game does a great job of creating tension. You're not a super soldier mowing down hundreds of enemies - you're trying to survive one of history's most unforgiving battlefields. That slower, more methodical pace makes victories feel rewarding and defeats feel memorable. What really stands out is the atmosphere. The trenches, artillery, and constant threat of sudden death combine to create an experience that feels authentic without sacrificing fun. It's rough around the edges in places, but there's a clear passion behind it. If you're tired of modern shooters and want something that focuses more on teamwork, positioning, and surviving impossible odds, Over The Top is worth a look.
