Funny, addictive, modern with a retro feel shooter with amazing art and music! What's not to love? I have over 100 hours in this game and I definitely see many more hours going to it! I love this game!
Outta Gas has a retro, throwback, feel to it. Lots of little easter eggs and nods to classic games, film, etc. The soundtrack is fantastic, and also calls back to nostalgic times. Turn-based combat with increasingly more complex levels as the game progresses. The dialogue has equal bits of wit, snark, and innuendo. Coded, animated, and voiced by one dude, this game has a lot of heart, sweat, and tears in it. There's also a lot of blood, but I don't think any of that is the game designer's. :) Overall, a fantastic game that will take hours to get through. I have set it aside, played something more shiny and new; played a different console entirely. I keep coming back to Outta Gas for it's quirk, simplicity, and fun. I'm betting others will too.
Great game, very original, love the looks.
Pretty kewl, pretty bloody.
I saw a youtuber play this game, got astounded by the retro artstyle, bought it and played it in almost a single playthrough. I am quite old to do such thing but the game made me do it by making me feel young again :-) What makes this game special apart from specific combat system is a lot of detailed areas your character travels through. It is obvious that someone put a lot of love into them. Despite it being not too long after early access, the game as a whole is well balanced even in a lategame.
Good combat, rewarding exploration, fun dialog, and cool monster design!
Jestli máte rádi vibe starých flashových her a tahové rpg je to něco pro vás.
For a point-click turn-based shooter, there is surprising depth. The variety of monsters, dialogue of characters and nuanced tactical choices make it a really complete world. It's a nostalgia compilation of Garbagepail Kids, Battle Toads, and Zelda 2. Tons of charm and a rewarding grind loop, once it clicks.
Incredibly good. Took me about 30 hours to complete,
Great game, I want it to be more popular!
