Named Game of the Year 2019 by Giant Bomb, Polygon, Eurogamer, and The Guardian, Outer Wilds is a critically-acclaimed and award-winning open world mystery about a solar system trapped in an endless time loop.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 48/day in the week to Aug 22 → 45.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
kinda really boring ngl
The raving reviews left me disappointed with my actual experience. I can see how this game could be for some people, and it is well made. But, I did not feel moved by this game even after rolling credits, which seemingly was inevitable based on how it presented to me. Puzzles are fun, but it is filled with more frustration and confusion in between than the payoff is worth.

It changed my life
One of the best games you can get to play, worth every penny.
too complicated puzzles, weird medium of narrative and too punishing if things are not done correctly. Strips the fun out of the game and replaces it with frustration.
This is genuinley one of the best games ever created. My personal top 3d game OAT.
This game made me feel so small, but so, so loved. Outer Wilds felt like a warm hug, teaching you to find comfort and acceptance in the act of letting go, and the ultimate end of things. I'd recommend this game to anyone, but especially to those struggling with grief and loss in any type of way, or existential dread. Outer Wilds found me at the perfect time of my life, because I can proudly say it genuinely helped heal a part of me. I'm not sure if I'll ever experience a game like Outer Wilds ever again, because it's truly so unique in its own special way. The best way to play the game is to go in blind, and to be okay with the unknown, since the game doesn't really tell you exactly where to go or what to do first. There is really no right or wrong way to play Outer WIlds. I think the best way to play is to just stay curious. The point is to just explore wherever you feel like, discover pieces of information along the way and just let your natural human curiosity guide you until everything "clicks" for you personally. You'll know. (Though, there is no shame in looking up a spoiler-free guide if you do ever feel stuck). The entire game is 1 giant puzzle, and it's really that type of game you can only truly fully experience once. Absolutely one of the best games in existence, and I'm so grateful I had the chance to experience such a masterpiece in my lifetime.
Sadly, I didn't get hooked. Maybe it was the odd camera movements which I have always had problems with 🤷♂️
Spoiler:
this is a very good game
