To change to English click the cog wheel then top option is a drop down Chinese or English. It has full english support btw. It was so simple litterly press options then click the drop down (Top one). Good game, interesting but odd story, the puzzle was confusing at first but once you understand the layout of the house the puzzles make more sense. Its a short and sweet story, Game play was really confusing until you realize wtf is happening. So you got a mirror symbol which lets you mirror a room but is used to flip the house you got key which lets you travel down deeper in the house, cat symbol which lets you use your cat, and floating symbols which can only be picked up by the cat Story is weird >Possible Spoiler Warning< like i think its about saving your dying cat but it very well could be all a dream and by saving your cat you chose to stay in a coma, i dont know Later in the game i got weird bugs like doors appearing to be shut, reset button turned Chinese, Character pathing breaking, And i found a teleport glitch >:D. Note: Doors appears shut was fixed with a press of r, Chinese reset button stayed but didnt matter much, Character pathing just made it where you had to manualy go through the doors. Teleport glitch is a secret >:D

It's very rare that I review a game without finishing it, in fact I've never done that before. But I felt I had no choice with Orpheus's Dream because I found myself restarting chapters over and over again due to game-breaking bugs. Passing a chapter took 2-3 tries not because I struggled with the puzzles, but because the character or the cat would get stuck. Unable to walk anywhere or finish the action needed to collect a note. I try to be lenient about bugs especially with free games, and with games created by smaller teams or individuals. I don't feel the need to hold them up to the standards I'd hold a AAA game to. But every game needs to meet certain standards and one of those standards is that the game needs to be playable. This game really isn't. It's unfortunate because the game itself has good potential. It has unique puzzle mechanics and a seemingly solid story in it's native language. But I noticed that despite what seems like potential it fell short in a lot of other ways as well. I don't mind a non-English default language as long as there's a way to change it, but even once the settings were changed to English some things were left untranslated or only partially translated. The translation seemed rather poor which detracted from the impact of the story. I didn't even realize the game was about an amnesiac, the story pieces just didn't communicate the story effectively because of the poor translations. On it's own I would probably give this a pass in a free game, since it's likely the product of being unable to hire a professional translator, but paired with game-breaking bugs it leaves me dissapointed and extremely hesitant to recommend the game. I really hope this dev keeps trying and is more careful about fixing bugs in the future. When it comes to game design I think they did a really good job, but they're in need of more practice on the technical side of things as well as more resources to help with things like translation. I don't want to discourage them from continuing to make games but I do think that Orpheus's Dream fell unfortunately short of the mark it was trying to hit. Hopefully we'll see more games from them in the future that show how they've learned from the experience of making this one. But for now I have to file this one under not recommended.
A cute, quirky game. I feel like I didn’t really understand the story, but then again I was more focused on solving the puzzles so I may have missed parts of it. Also, two things to note because I read some of the other reviews and want to help people out. 1. While the game defaults to Chinese you can change it to English on the menu screen by clicking the cog for settings in the corner and then click the text in the middle of the screen which opens a drop down menu with English. 2. If you run into a glitch that causes you to get stuck or you mess up you can press “R” to restart the current level. Or if you’re really stuck you can open the notebook, select “Options” on the right, and then from there you can restart the current chapter.
I like the style and music but it would have been better for me if I could actually get past the first chapter. I encounter a game breaking glitch as soon as I try to get to the kitchen. Now, I assume falling through the floor is part of the game the first time because my checklist says "head the kitchen again" but I get stuck in the abyss where I cant walk, only look at a scroll out map. I have restarted the chapter many times to see if that could fix it, as well as re-downloading. It's a shame.

I rarely leave game reviews. I really, really do rarely do this. I think the game *does* have some potential... unfortunately I spent a good hour trying to get through Chapter 1, Light Sleep(?) and I got stuck after Orpheus fell off the room. I know this is part of the game, but after scrolling down to bring the whole map out and scrolling back up to get back to controlling the character, there was a floating icon that showed where I should click next. I restarted this chapter 3 times to at least try to get this to work. And none of them did. I think the game's kind of broken at the moment, and I'm not sure why I can't even proceed despite following all the instructions needed to even be able to get through *even just the first part* of the game. And as someone who's into music, the soundtrack just didn't do it for me. The jarring instrumental playing in the background as Orpheus *also* plays tunes from his guitar feels ... too rough. This game needs a bit more polishing, and I hope the devs get to fix the problems the other players are also experiencing. Hope to see more improvements in the future. >>By the way, it defaults to Chinese, but you can change it up to English by checking the options.
I really want to like this game, but there are quite a few problems. I can get past the translation errors, the story and aesthetic are cute and does make you want to keep playing, but I'm constantly having problems with the more basic gameplay. The character has a hard time getting around doorways, and often glitches out appearing to float into position. The camera is frustrating because it reverts to the default position pretty quickly; making it hard to see what you're doing. The 'notes' I gathered started to stack on top of each other, as well as texts, making it difficult to operate and read. I really do like what the game is trying to be, and if there were some updates to it I'd probably be recommend it, it was just a little too frustrating to get through as is
It's beautiful. Great music and graphics and interesting puzzles. The thing is that reaching the end of the game I got stuck because of a bug. It's kind of frustrating to have spent so much time and I wasn't going to start over, so I dropped the game.
Overall - more of a neutral review because I don't believe it's bad enough for negative one. That was an interesting experience. I liked the puzzles, but wish there was a way to undo just last move - doing everything from the start multiple times started to get annoying, especially because you seemingly can go forever in some instances. Settings would go back to default at every chapter - music would blast my ears after I changed the volume again and again. It didn't crash for me once - maybe that issue multiple reviews talk about was fixed. Characters and style is cute. Map didn't work well for me. Moving camera wasn't smooth and kinda annoying. You can only see few rooms close to you while zooming camera out - which I understand, but also made it hard to move around.
While this game has good elements i can't recommend it thus far. The movement isn't smooth as he gets stuck on doors and the camera keeps resetting. The in game sound is really loud in some parts and it also keeps resetting itself to max after i turn it down. The menu doesn't let you click on the words like options you have to click on these tabs which is a little annoying but not a huge deal. There seems to be bugs as in chapter 3 i had to restart because the cat was either missing or when i clicked to get a note down the cat got stuck on something and nothing happened. While has potential it gets caught on the little things that bring down the overall experience.
