i love the concept. i bought 1 more so my and my friend can play
Great game nice gameplay good graphics and a funny story
C&C meets FPS in a very playful way. In addition to tactical battles, you can also expect some puzzles to be solved, which gives the game a funny sidekick. Highly recommended and the price is fair in my opinion.
So I really really wanted to like this game. I can see a tonne of potential for it, but there are a few major gripes that just killed it for me before I could even really get going. The first gripe is in the UI, it's just really clunky and clumsy and it's not obvious. One of your first objectives on mission 1 is to blow up an enemy house with a bomb that you pick up. I could not for the life of me figure out how to activate the bomb. Grenades I got, the pistol I got (though it's a real pain to pull it out in a hurry, open your inventory, press the pistol button, then pick the pistol up, then start firing, doable but when you are trying to switch quickly from overview to shooting it's just clumsy, same with grenades). The tutorials are just not easy. The second is that working on the oculus rift S the only movement option I could get going was the smooth movement. I simply could not find a way to teleport around. That limits the play time significantly because for most people VR sickness is going to start to kick in. The biggest problem I found though was just the sheer uselessness of the AI. Your own units will literally just sit there unless specifically ordered to do something. There's no attack move, and there's no reaction when an enemy comes nearby. So let's say your enemy has two turrets up. You tell your units to attack one of the turrets, then you jump down into first person view to join the assault. You clumsily pull your pistol out after a bit of button mashing. You join the battle and start shooting away. Then the first turret goes down. Excellent you think, onwards and upwards, you start shooting at the second turret, only to notice that only one of your guys is shooting at it, because the others are all just standing there out of range, so then you have to jump back to strategic mode and tell them to do something, and then drop back down again. Combine this with how hard it is to actually get a weapon out and it's just too painful. What should have been an awesome game ends up being a nauseating disappointment. So what's needed to make it good? 1) A new, easy and intuitive UI. Think space pirate trainer for first person. Then for build mode, it's very hard to look at what a unit is without building it, it's very hard to accurately build units on the build menu, it's hard to build the right buildings. So how would I make it better? I think I'd probably have another swivel option. So pull a trigger or press the side button to open the build menu, pull the thumb stick to target something to build, show the description while it's held and then build on release. 2) Better unit AI. Attack move is a pretty basic one. Reactions to hostiles attacking is another. If a unit can see a hostile I want it to engage that hostile. Give me some options to set unit behaviour as well, defensive vs offensive vs hold ground. These are basics in RTS. Inactive collectors should actively seek out things to do. The borders of my base are super hard to identify, and it's very odd that I can only collect within an arbitrary set of borders, get rid of that limitation. Make the resources super obvious that I need to mine, and get it clear how to mine them. 3) Put in a proper tutorial. That's just a must have. 4) Once this is done, keep polishing! This game is just too much of an early prototype.

RTS Games are rare in the VR scene and this game hit every mark! Awesome idea and will def play it through again and again until a 2nd one drops!
gut
This is just about the worst vr game i have played. Avoid it.
Pretty fun game from start to finish. It allows a level of diversity for how to win each level whether you do most of the shooting or let your units do it. Each level introduces units and weapons to use, and new challenges to move forward, so even when replaying at different difficulties, they require some planning. Admittedly, the game has some small issues but nothing game breaking. Some optimization would be nice, a few bugs pertaining to player and units, but the overall experience is good. Having a combination of RTS and FPS is pretty rare to find, so it's nice to find it here. It's easy to transition between the two, and it provides an interesting way to play as you can strategize with it. Graphics are decent, pretty smooth fps except when trying to open the steam menu inside the game. The voice acting is pretty much what is expected of a one person show. The controls do take a little getting used to and the tutorial should have done more to explain them as it took a while for me to figure out everything. Overall a good game. If the sequel comes out, hopefully it has more polish to it.
