Simple yet great platformer across different time periods. As with any decent platformer, your main goal will be to reach to the end by jumping over gaps and platforms. Run is also available, and it works well with jump to clear wider gaps. Your final skill is the punch, which can be used to kill enemies and smash boxes containing valuable items. Enemies are more of an annoyance because they do not pose a significant threat. They are easily removed by mashing a button or by jumping on their head. Stages are short and straightforward. I like how they come alive with animals and small characters who have something to say. When you beat the previous stage, the next one unlocks, and you can choose to play it again from the stage choice menu. Special stages, such as racing on a pig, are sprinkled between standard platforming stages. There’s a pretty entertaining and funny story tying everything together. If you're the type of person who wants to win everything, you'll most likely retry a stage several times to obtain all four medals. You gain one for completing a stage without taking any damage, collecting all of the fruit, obtaining the trophy, and finishing below the time limit. The fun part comes from several time periods, which affect the appearance of everything, including you. After a few regular stages with a prehistoric setting, the next three take place in a different time, such as pirates, street, and several other. You don't know what it is because you have to draw a random card. The game includes approximately 80 stages, and this switch occurs every three stages. Fruit that you collect as you progress through the stages serves as game currency. You can only hold three hundred fruit, and any extra fruit won’t matter. However, you can also lose some when you take a hit. Certain stages feature a shop where you may purchase extra lives, shields, and two unique abilities: wings that allow you to double jump and a gun for ranged attack. Although these abilities stay with you across stages, you lose them if you die. You can have up to three lives, but that doesn't matter because you still have to complete a stage in a single run. Each death sends you back to the beginning of a stage. If you lose all of your lives, you will respawn with three, therefore buying extra lives is a waste of fruit. As a matter of fact, you can easily ignore the shop. If you replay the training stages, you can receive both powers for free. Of course, you'll need to play the stages after each death. On the other hand, powers are not needed and you can beat the game without ever buying them.

You can ride a pig and there are a multitude of levels.
"Ooga Booga: Troubles in Time" is an adventure game where you choose your character and travel through different universes to defeat the forces of evil. This game features a captivating storyline, multiple locations/universes and enemies, well-adapted soundtracks, funny dialogues and scenarios, multiple languages to choose from, 70 levels (with more to come soon), and 18 achievements. It takes approximately 3 hours to complete the game and secure all the achievements, which can be acquired in multiple sittings, thanks to a convenient save feature that allows players to easily resume their progress or start anew. I would give it a 5/10 difficulty rating as there are different types of enemies with various powers, all determined to stop you from completing the game. "Ooga Booga: Troubles in Time" is an exhilarating and action-packed adventure that takes you on a journey across different universes to save the world from the clutches of evil. From the moment you start playing, you are thrust into a world filled with challenging enemies, cunning traps, and thrilling escapades that keep you on the edge of your seat. One of the game's standout features is its captivating storyline. You play as a chosen hero, determined to thwart the malevolent plans of Lucy, a banished being who seeks to dominate Earth. The narrative is engaging, with each level uncovering more about Lucy's sinister intentions and the resilient spirit of humanity. The gameplay is a perfect blend of platforming and combat. Jumping over obstacles and battling a variety of enemies in different scenarios never feels repetitive, thanks to the game's dynamic level design. Each universe you travel through offers a fresh and visually stunning environment, keeping the experience exciting and immersive. Power-ups are strategically placed throughout the game, enhancing your abilities just when you need them most. Whether you're escaping from a rolling stone down a treacherous hill or riding a pig to dodge thugs, these power-ups add a layer of strategy and fun to the gameplay. Interacting with characters to defeat the final boss is another highlight. These interactions are not only crucial for progression but also add depth to the storyline, making you feel more connected to the game world and its inhabitants. In summary, "Ooga Booga: Troubles in Time" is a must-play for anyone who loves a good adventure, and it's a game for all ages. Its combination of an intriguing plot, diverse gameplay mechanics, and vibrant graphics makes it a standout title. Prepare to be challenged, entertained, and thoroughly immersed in this epic battle against the forces of evil. Prove that you are the chosen one and save your world from Lucy's machinations! P.S. If you like this kind of game, I would also recommend "Broforce" or "Expendabros" (which is currently free). Check them out on Steam.
