I mean, who DOESNT love katamari?
7/10 This is more Katamari Damacy, and if you like the other games in the series you will like this as well. It does not do anything especially new or revolutionary with the concept or the franchise, but that is okay. This is easy and mindless fun, all set to great music. There also are not that many stages with weird rules, which I appreciate. Some of the games have way too many of those. Not much else to say, this game is good and fun. Get it if you enjoy the other games in the series.

If you ever get that itch to just roll something to make it get bigger and bigger this is your game, it really scratches that primal itch of something being simple and watching it get bigger and more ridiculous, also i loved the music for this game so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ its sooo good loved it for the music alone ngl.
Love it !!! I've been a fan of katamari damacy for a couple of years now, and I think they did very well with the new game. The ability to make your own cousin is fun, and power-ups like the magnet make things pretty satisfying. Overall, I would recommend this game for both new and old fans
IF I were to give this a 1-10 rating, it would get an 8. I do like the game, but the random hiccupping lags makes it annoying. That and the King's constant yapping. Shut up. I know how to roll things up. Just give me a quick directional instruction. Not your life story.

I've been wanting to play Katamari ever since I saw it on game magazines 2 decades ago. It feels like it hasn't aged a day in terms of visuals, sounds and gameplay, a testament to how timeless the formula and execution are. Actually, let's get my one complaint out of the way: the menus are unintuitive and have aged poorly, so there's that. The games has Classic tank controls (that take some time to master), but also a highly appreciated Simple control scheme that means even my daughters can enjoy playing. The writing is charming and the comedy is good. I always love the "Super Mario 64 star" style of semi-linear progression (in Katamari you collect "crowns"): it never feels like you're stuck on a difficult stage, with always plenty of challenges to try and retry, and the stages are super replayable. They add a bit of variation to the formula with different objectives, and that's more than enough to keep me coming back.
