This. game. is. hysterical. I think it was in a "similar games" roulette at the bottom when I was buying Moonlighter (1), and it looked cute in the trailer, so I picked it up for $3.98 or something. I have not laughed out loud so many times, and as often, in a game like this one has done since Schedule I, or maybe Jazzpunk. This is an indie gem that needs more recognition. The gameplay is cute & simple, the dialogue is constantly hilarious (wholesome style, reminds me of Adventure Time humor), and the audio design is crude yet funny. Highly recommend this to any indie-game lovers who enjoy creative, wholesome, funny games with quick-time events. Edit: Beat the game. It is a masterpiece. Worth every penny.

Funniest game out there including some serious earworms. Loved the characters, loved the improv theatre. Awesome game.

Absolute peak passion project. Super funny, and somehow makes the nonsense game idea (improvised theatre performances) fun, and not repetitive as there are so many variant dialogue lines.

Once Upon a Jester is a simple, silly and heart warming little adventure. The artstyle and animations are very basic, but that actually fits the game perfectly. It adds to the goofy charm. The dialogue is hilarious, filled with dry humor, weird characters and funny (Dutch) names. If you enjoy quirky humor, this game absolutely nails it. The gameplay is super simple, but that’s clearly the intention. It’s all about the vibes, the story and the jokes. What makes it extra special for me is that it’s made by Dutch indie developers who also did all the voice acting themselves. You can hear the Dutch accent throughout the game, and I absolutely love that. Especially because I’m Dutch too. Once Upon a Jester is a cozy, funny, feel good experience with a great soundtrack. Definitely a game I recommend! The game also runs perfectly on Steam Deck.

Il était une fois un bouffon... Ouah, c'était bien. Jouez-y, ce n'est pas bien long, la boucle de gameplay est super simple, mais tout l'enrobage est fait avec un amour fou !

El juego me ha encantado, su mundo y personajes tienen mucho carisma, el doblaje está muy bien para ser un juego indie, las canciones son increíbles y la historia aunque simple es muy buena. Recomiendo este juego a cualquiera que le gusten los juegos de historia, eso si, el juego es muy corto y te quedas con ganas de mas
