About
Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, there was a traveller...
Our protagonist, a mysterious traveller, wanders the far-off land of Desservir searching for patrons to buy their wares.
Upon hearing about a large annual market in the village of Castella, the traveller decides to set up a stall and try their luck.
Life, however, is not so easy.
After being double-crossed by a goblin and left in the middle of the cold, wet moors to die, the traveller almost gives up hope.
That is, until they stumble upon a mysterious church in the middle of nowhere, and meet the two nuns who attend to it.
What are these two nuns doing on their own, and why is there such a melancholy atmosphere in the air?
The traveller has only one windswept night to uncover these mysteries and learn the truth.

if you want to support the creator or just liked the premise/story of the game then maybe this will be a good game for you. I played this trying to get 100% achievement and was a mistake. in theory this should take less than 1 hour to get but the game is very buggy, keeps on closing, and RNG. That in itself isn't that big of a deal but even with a guide, I still cannot get the last achievement which I spent an hour just re-opening the game because it just kept on closing. tried many different routes and just decided to quit and for my sanity. again, if you are playing this just for the 100% and are reading this, consider yourself informed
RAHHHHHHH I LOVE BEING A LESBIAN WE LOVE WOMEN HERE <333333
Once on a Windswept night is a metafictional story about reading a story that keep changing the more you read it. It’s filled with easter eggs and homages to the previous works of the author. It’s really enjoyable journey because it is great canvas for creativity of Ebi. VN leans into meta a lot, which is breath of a fresh air. I love the idea and creativity. Game is surprisingly good taking into consideration the story and the meta and how the author connected them together into this amazing journey. I want to really get your attention to the fact how creative and well made it is especially because it was made for a game jam precisely a yuri game jam, which I won’t get much more into because ~spoilers. What is more is that it’s free vn. I could see it as a regular VN that would be sold for 5Euro or so if the visuals and audio were upgraded. The story is touching and almost made me cry.. Again.. What is up with ebi hime and her stories making me cry? Visuals are very simplistic however well done and for a free game it’s more than enough. They are enjoyable especially main 2 characters. Audio is another positive of this VN. It’s fitted well with the story and the events that occur. It’s doing it’s job right. This game is really well done. If you are fan of meta games like for example doki doki then it’s definitely a Vn for you (Tho this one doesn’t get that much into meta play as much as literature club) Or even if you just look for good VN that is great choice especially because it’s free! You don’t need to pay anything to enjoy this piece! What are you waiting for now? =^.^= Rating is easy for once! And that is R:93/100
Com certeza foi o Visual Novel mais diferenciado que eu joguei desde o 'P.R.I.C.E.'. Tem uma dinâmica diferenciada, e a Lycoris também é super carismática, parece até que tá viva kkkk
Yes.
Once on a windswept night is an amazing visual novel, all about remembering. Waking up, not knowing who are what you are is a scary feeling and this visual novel has a nice way of going about it. It's a story within a story of sorts. In fact, there's actually stories in the story. Storyception if you will. There are a bunch of unique concepts in the game. Words are phrased differently such as the skip button being called 'skim' or the exit button being called 'break'. Other features that are pretty unique are the fact that the game closes directly after ending, instead of the usual taking back to the menu. In fact, there isn't a title screen, you jump straight into it and only get access to the settings after you've gone through a bit of dialogue. Also, there's only one save slot, and you can only save during the story's story, which can be slightly frustrating but, it didn't really bother me. It fit the plot of the game. There's also a bunch of nods to other games depending on what you choose as a name for yourself, really cool addition! I absolutely loved the plot, it was beautiful. Slow to start off? Sure, but when you get into the thick of it, it really shines. Great characters with interesting dynamics and the whole discovering yourself was done great too! Music's great, specifically a song called 'My Beloved', but great soundtrack all in all. And yeah, I definitely recommend this, even if you aren't into yuri, it has a really interesting way of storytelling and it's free!
I dont really know what to make out of this game. The Graphic and story is nice. What bothers me is that some of the endings have a chance to trigger which is from 1/3 up to 1/7. So if you want to see them you need to know that you missed something AND you have to play it over and over again. Not really what keeps normal players going. But its free and nice so... Okay.
this is such a beautiful and heartbreaking game once you actually fully understood everything. I couldn't bear to imagine how "Lycoris" would always be waiting for you to return, over and over again. yearning is one hell of a thing to experience. it's devastating REALLY since I went through to get all the achievements possible and realized the VN is more than it seems... YES I DO RECOMMEND THIS, try playing it blindly for the first time as the game has unique concept for you to try on, ALSOOOOO has a bit of rng based dialogues which I think might take a while to get. It's super fun to see what each option gives tho!! anyways you only have one save file which will disappear if you load it once which means you need to use it wisely. THOUGHHHH the game itself won't take long to do (only around 1-3 hours) if you want to read all the text possible >:D
