Wasted potential. Balatro plus Scrabble is an excellent idea, but this game chooses to be punishing instead of enjoyable. Word games aren't scare on here, so I'm bailing without much play time in favor of something that doesn't feel like such a chore.
look at the global stats. its too hard. i consider its a shame this is a dead game and without tweaks i spent too much money on it. i feel my spelling and vocabulary are decent, game says otherwise. it feels bad. not fun just to get crushed every time pretty much. that was my inital review. after having played it on and off for a year. since i have played again and i think i highly underrated some mechanics-blueprint. still it feels unpolished a few words eg pretty sure saxon is a word yet it wasnt allowed . if you wanna scrabble game know that it is hard and unpolished and flawed then i can give a cautious recommend

Great game! My scrabble addicted parents loved it! We did our best but we really would appreciate a german edition tho.
One of the most engaging little games I've played in a long time, it's quite challenging but working out how to do the seemingly impossible challenges has kept me entertained for nearly 200 hours now and going strong. Best money you'll spend on a game in years.
Mechanically, it's sound. But it lacks that tic-tic-tic instantaneous back and forth that I was seeking - too much idling time in between and in the midst of matches. It just doesn't feel "fun," quite yet
This game is way too difficult, even at the easiest settings. If you make it so I have multiple strategies to win occasionally I would love it. But there are so few ways to meet the score totals, again I am talking about playing at the easiest settings. Also for the love of Jesus add cloud saves please!
Very fun game!! You can easily make it multiplayer by streaming the gameplay and working together.
Scrabble by way of Balatro. I don't say this to diminish the games quality, but rather to praise the combination as another good iteration on a clearly inspirational game. My main gripes are that some of the pixel art doesn't scale well with some of the smaller resolutions, which is a shame as this is a perfect game to alt-tab into and out of when doing something else. Some more options like word-score tally speed would be nice. I'm also curious to know what dictionary this pulls its valid words from, as I've had a more than few valid words not been counted, and invalid words pass.
Very solid scrabble style game Pros +Save + quit whenever you like. Great for those with limited time +Extremely challenging with tons of items and upgrades for variety +Tons of unlockable difficulty settings for hours of gameplay +Tons of challenges with leaderboards too +Bosses! In Scrabble! Cons -Music is chill and I love it, but there's literally just one track repeating. Needs more please -Challenging to the extreme I'd say. Even 'novice' you'll struggle with, so relies heavily on items you buy from the shop, rather than just your vocabulary -If you don't do well from the start it can cripple your run entirely as you won't be able to afford stuff in the shop to aid you in your run -I wish I could click a letter and click again where I want it to go. The drag and drop method I find a little cumbersome Tips +2 letter words like QI, XI, AX, EX etc are your saviour +You can even use exclamation marks in this game (from shop). Again invaluable +Combos are super helpful, so getting multiple combos in one go gives a high score +There are boons to disable the boss and relics to give you extra turns. Personally I found these the most useful, so keep an eye out +As you get near the end of your run, don't forget to sell your less important relics to buy better stuff +Don't forget to activate your boons after you buy them. I always forget! Overall a great game. Try Paperback Adventures as a word lover's recommendation
It's just too RNG to make it fun.
