Good thing Clover Studio was right in the head when they came up with this title, because titles with puns in them usually don't go well in movies.

This game is a blast no matter what platform I've played it on. An absolute classic.

The atmosphere and style are great, and my main goal was simply to enjoy it, but the gameplay surprised me! It's much more similar to many hack-and-slash games; you have combos and combined attacks, as well as brush techniques! You also have three different weapon types that are easy to master, and some of them, especially the ones with different properties, remind me of DMC weapons, sometimes they're regular bullets, sometimes shotguns. I also like that the glaives have a double hook or stinger to quickly close to enemies. It's hard for me to give an objective opinion here. The long loading times were definitely a downside, but I assume that's probably due to the release date or my PC. While moving around, you could feel the mass of Amaterasu's character (which is probably not easy to achieve!), but when it came to quickly exploring the world and, above all, racing, it was extremely difficult and frustrating, especially when some animations were much faster than your character, and prediction was more important than the player's actual reaction. But that might just be a personal preference, some might not mind. But the story itself, I had the impression it would be short and end with the first fight with Orochi. Later, I was surprised because we were presented with more locations. Each one was incredibly rich in branches and collectibles. Another downside to this game was the 100 beads, which practically required a 99/100% completion, making it impossible to miss any side mission or collectible. But that was my goal because I love the "new game+" where you can fight as an OP character in Infinite Devil Trigger mode, just like in DMC. It's infinite ink and health regeneration, so it's very similar. This way or other Highly recommend if you are fan of stylistic or other games like this, they had undeniable charm.
