Druga postać to prawdziwa gratka.
Thousands of retro pixelcrap shooters are infesting Steam, and "Ogre Chambers DX" is just more pollution in a crowded market of terrible games. There are thousands of these on Steam (you can go see for yourself if you search for the tag on the store, I'm not kidding). And this is far from being one of the best of those. This 2D twin stick shooter relies on a Lunar Lander meets Flappy Bird propulsion mechanic, features no content, and has you brainlessly shooting waves of enemies with no discernable reason to want to. It's a tired, dead experience in an obsolete genre, made to look badly (presumably on purpose). This game fails on the visuals because of the use of incredibly lazy, ugly pixelcrap. The developer would probably argue this is a "deliberate artistic choice" but we all know it's because the developer was incapable of producing anything better. The game looks poor compared to professionally developed titles. Whether the developer lacked the skill or the budget for modern visuals is irrelevant; the choice detracts from the game. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's a disservice to gamers when developers don't bother doing their jobs and creating contemporary, high quality visuals. Games like Undertale and Stardew Valley are rare exceptions that succeeded in spite of their awful graphics. Pixelcrap is never really okay, and there's no excuse for games that look this bad. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. This was made with the godawful "GameMaker Studio" construction kit/toolset, which is popular amongst amateur developers because it handholds you through making really crap 2D games that you can publish for $100 on Steam Direct. This lets you pat yourself on the back for pretending to be a real game developer, which explains why GameMaker Studio is responsible for so much ignored garbage on Steam. GameMaker Studio has never really been used to make a truly successful game, but that doesn't stop people from trying and failing. It's a particularly bad game engine that can only be used for making low quality 2D products. Like this. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, as the old saying goes. Another reason this particular game wasn't successful. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. You can always judge a product by how popular it is with the general public. Steam has over 130 million unique gamers, and over 40 million unique logons every day from dedicated PC gamers. But this only ever had a peak user count of a dozen or so people... that's very poor public reception. Gamers rejected this, most likely due to the reasons I supply in this review. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.
I like this game I bought Ogre Chambers 2222 I Reccomend!!!
(the game is very fun but only with the second ship) just unlocked the 4th ship and it seems like each new ship is getting worse the farther you progress and its not fun to play with the new ships. its challenging but very uncreatively in what ability it hinders. when i unlocked the second ship it was so much different from the first one and i was excited to play with the other ones too because i expected it to have unique and fun starting upgrades/abilities only to be disappointed with how minor the changes were for ship 3 and 4, it felt almost lazy to me. i don't have any good reason to get the other ships if they're gonna be boring to play with.
