if you like rc crawlers you will love this
I wanted to write a recommendation. The game has great physics. The 60 Classic 1 levels were fun. Getting over the bumps felt really good. But then.. Classic 2 levels are pure pain with mud everywhere slowing you down to 0.5 m/s. and with that speed and lack of traction you have to get over logs everywhere. Didn't like this one bit. It's a little unfortunate.
Surprisingly fun, not really my type of game normally. Quite a lot of content in terms of the challenge levels, but they do go on for too long (once you're done all the levels, you have to do them all with the levels reversed as well). The infinite mode is also really fun, but sometimes the way the sections fit together is nearly impossible to traverse, but, it was overall a great experience. btw: my playtime (and others') is super inflated from the game having a "play 100 hours" achievement, which has since been changed to something more reasonable. It does not have 100h of content, maybe more like 20 or something.
外部視点でカメラ位置を変えながら慎重にやらないとクリア不可能ですね。コクピット視点で全クリア出来た人がいたら、神だと思いますw
This game NAILS gamefeel with rockcrawling offroading vehicles modeled to a simulation level of fidelity including crucially softbody tire physics and the conversation that has with traction that is at the heart of the pure joy of lowspeed technical offroading. This game is already amazing but it is absolutely begging for some local splitscreen party games or just free roam. I am not hating on mariokart, I love arcade racers but also have you driven a fully kitted out landrover defender offroad (in a fairly realistic video game like Offroad Mania)? The first time a kid makes engine sounds while playing with toy cars they should be immediately be given a copy of this game I think, the experience of playing Offroad Mania is pure simple meditative intuition. Just if you get your kid this game, you gotta explain when to lock the differential, keep it simple but don't leave them in the dark because the vehicles are generally way more snappy, responsive and fun in 2wd.
Surprisingly fun.
Nice offroad courses. Many of them can be challenging! Especially when you play in cockpit perspective, that is crazy, dude! Yes, there are some rough edges sometimes like wheels getting clipped into the floor, the car weirdly bouncing off objects at a certain angle and unrealistic air manipulation with accelerating, but it's mostly fair and fun! Has many modes where I like the endless mode the most where you're getting random obstacles one after another and have to get 100 done. Getting set back for a fail increases the intensity, you know. There can occur some pretty challenging situations depending on the random order of the obstacles like no space to turn and a steep incline to climb after a decline and such. Overall I very much liked my experience with Offroad Mania and recommend it if you like precision driving on pretty much realistic physics and have patience!
It's brilliant, am just reviewing to add another positive. One suggestion and one gripe: Suggestion - colour-cycling for endless mode - after each fifty or so components the colours could change a bit to avoid visual monotony. Like Dorfromantik's biome options. Gripe - at some point the endless mode changed - components are now closer together. This has the result that some combinations create an impassible barrier from one to the next. There aren't many, but when they come up after 200 or 300+ components it's really infuriating. - I had mused on "monkey mode" multiplayer where a second player controlled a character who climbed around the outside of your truck, changing the centre of gravity for some new longer and more difficult puzzles.
fun as hell
