Don't buy this game. Do not support this sort of predatory game design (details below). By predatory I mean - a gross disregard for the player's time. a) Ascension systems have become a cheap way to compensate for lack of content - here this is taken to the extreme b) Upgrades are very slow and designed to stretch the game - if you start with a better crop, all the other upgrade will scale in price - the grind here is, again, to the extreme c) Balance is complete crap - mushrooms are kinda OP and it seems that devs realized this too late, so instead they added a "feature" (quick fix) that prevents players from just playing mushrooms by not granting ascension crystals d) There is really barely any content - You will just play the same 15 second game a million times. If you choose to play 3x speed, a round takes 5 seconds - so effectively you don't even get to do much - THE GAME JUST BECOMES A CLICK CHORE e) Game is obviously not well thought - the upgrades available after unlocking the final farm are completely useless, since the only thing left is to kill the king, for which you only need the attack speed upgrade...

Agrivore: Incremental Farming is a poor incremental games. At a glance it did look good, but I couldn't have been further from the truth. In 3 hours that it took to beat the game, I've forgotten how many gripes and bugs I've found, but I'll do my best to recall all of them... As far as bug goes, sometimes I've had the gameplay loop on top of the 'results' screen... a few time I was about to buy some upgrades in the upgrade screen and the gameplay just started IN THE UPDATE SCREEN, without the farm's background. Wow. Aside from that, some weapon graphics are totally broken (the gun skill one and probably others as well). As far as bad decisions go: Why are the runs like 15 seconds each until the very end of the game??? Why do crops that gives more money have skill trees that cost more money to unlock, in the end... they're just not really any better? The 2x and 3x speed options in the menu doesn't help, the rounds last 10 and 5 seconds approximately with it enabled! Oh and the worst for last: Why in the world would you NERF THE PLAYERS FAVORITE CROPS? If you constantly pick your favorite crop when building your skill tree/farms, the crops take 50% longer to kill and you start with only 2 of the max instead of 5-6... Building a skill tree is kind of fun and the game could've enjoyable but it's not polished at all and it suffers from insane balancing issues and lack of clarity. I don't know what anything I'm unlocking in the prestige tree do, the money the crop gives is not shown, the damage of the weapon isn't shown, I bought 3 different crops in my first reset because I wanted to get a bunch of crops, turns out you're limited to one of them for the first few resets and you can't refund your prestige upgrades, so I practically prestiged and started over for nothing. I unlocked some prestige upgrade that nerfs later synergies with them, can't reset them. I unlocked a final prestige tree with the final farm unlock and I beat the boss after 4 rounds because the game isn't balanced, didn't get to try any of the sins upgrades... Overall, a buggy, unpolished and quirky letdown of a game.
A fun game that gets ruined by inconsistencies and bugs. many upgrades have bugged visuals, and some upgrades even make you worse unintentionally like the late game Greenhouses you can obtain, taking longer and longer to pay out with their set rewards. a cute and very interesting incremental that lacks the polish to be worth finishing for me.
So far the worst Incremental i've played, its is tedious, slow and carries many bad design choices and bugs which can make progress near impossible. one such bug follows a terrible mechanic where picking the same crops for subsequent prestiges has downsides which is means the mushroom crop which speeds the already slow game up by a far margin is punished, by reducing its spawnrate which paired with increase spawnrate upgrades actually reduces the spawn rate more resulting rounds where only 1 crop spawns or sometimes 0. one of the worst parts is the final level of the farms which has a row of upgrades i didn't get to touch since i beat that stage on my first prestige on said farm. the game looks great at a glance but the many issues, caused it to be an awful incremental.
There are some incremental games that try to reinvent the genre, and there are others that simply understand why people like incremental games in the first place. Agrivore: Incremental Farming falls very firmly into the second camp. It isn't particularly groundbreaking. It doesn't suddenly redefine incremental gaming or introduce some revolutionary mechanic that I've never encountered before. What it does do, however, is provide that wonderful little dopamine hit that every good incremental game needs. And sometimes that's exactly what I want. 🌱 Agrivore starts innocently enough. You have crops. You harvest crops. Numbers go upwards. Excellent. I'm happy already. 😂 But, as you'd expect, things don't stay quite that simple. As you progress, crops become increasingly difficult to harvest, new ways of dealing with them become available and what began as some relatively peaceful farming gradually turns into considerably more chaotic harvesting. At its best, Agrivore becomes wonderfully ridiculous. There were moments where harvesting was happening so quickly and so much was going on across the screen that I could barely keep track of everything. Numbers were flying around, crops were disappearing and the whole thing had developed into exactly the sort of over-the-top incremental chaos I enjoy. 🌾 The harvesting mechanics are probably where I had both my favourite and least favourite moments with the game. Some of the tools are fantastic. They're quick, satisfying to use and can turn the screen into absolute carnage as you tear through crops that previously took considerably more effort to deal with. Others... Well, I wasn't quite so fond of those. A few of the harvesting methods felt noticeably slower and more frustrating to use. When you've just experienced one tool that lets you cause glorious agricultural devastation at high speed, switching to something that feels considerably more cumbersome can interrupt the flow a little. It never became enough of a problem to stop me playing, but there were definitely tools I looked forward to using considerably more than others. 🌳 One area I particularly enjoyed was the skill tree. A good incremental game needs progression that feels meaningful, and Agrivore gives you plenty to work towards. Unlocking improvements and watching your ability to deal with increasingly stubborn crops develop kept giving me another reason to continue. Then we have prestige. Lots and lots of prestige. 🔄 Prestige systems can sometimes annoy me when they feel as though they're simply forcing me to repeat content for the sake of making a game longer. Here, though, the progression generally kept that familiar incremental feeling of sacrificing what you've built in order to return stronger and push further next time. And push further I certainly did. 🏆 I played Agrivore all the way from the beginning to genuine 100% completion. Every achievement. Everything I needed to finish. The lot. That took me just short of ten hours. So my opinion isn't based on playing the opening hour, seeing a few upgrades and deciding I'd understood everything the game had to offer. I went through the complete progression and kept going until there was nothing left for me to achieve. And overall? I enjoyed it. Agrivore isn't going to be the game I point towards and say "This changes everything we know about incremental games." It doesn't need to. What it gets right is the thing that some incremental games surprisingly struggle with: it makes progression feel satisfying. There's always that desire to reach the next upgrade, unlock another part of the skill tree, prestige again, become stronger and find out just how ridiculous the harvesting can eventually become. It's that familiar: "I'll just get this next upgrade..." Then another one is nearly affordable. Then you're close to another prestige. Then there's another achievement within reach. And suddenly you've apparently spent nearly ten hours farming imaginary crops. That's incremental gaming. 😂 💷 I do have one significant caveat, and that's the price. I bought Agrivore during a sale, and at the price I paid I'm perfectly happy with the value I received. Nearly ten hours of entertainment and a complete journey through to 100% certainly left me feeling I'd had my money's worth. At its normal full price, however, I think it's a little expensive for what you're getting. That's particularly true because, enjoyable though Agrivore is, it doesn't do a huge amount that experienced incremental players won't have encountered elsewhere. For that reason, if you're interested but aren't desperate to play immediately, I'd be inclined to put it on your wishlist and pick it up during a sale. At the right price, there's a very enjoyable incremental game here. 👍 For me, Agrivore: Incremental Farming earns a Worth a Look. It's not revolutionary, some harvesting tools are considerably more enjoyable than others, and I think the normal asking price is a little steep. But none of that changes the fact that I played it for nearly ten hours and completed absolutely everything. The skill tree kept me interested, the prestige systems kept the progression moving and when Agrivore really gets going, watching the screen descend into completely ridiculous harvesting chaos is enormously satisfying. Most importantly, it gave me the thing I want from this genre: Numbers went up. My brain liked it. I wanted the numbers to go up even more. Sometimes an incremental game really doesn't need to make things any more complicated than that. 🌾😂 Wishlist it, wait for a good sale, and there's a satisfying little incremental farming adventure here that's well worth harvesting. 👍
100% achievements in < 3 hours tl;dr: too basic, too grindy, not enough content, get it for $2 or less - Gameplay is very basic with very little interesting skill nodes, mostly numbers go up a little - Had the right idea for the Treasury but doesn't have enough interesting upgrades - Forced grind runs where you have no new interesting things to do but just have to replay for the sake of getting the red gems - Crop balance is absolutely terrible, instead of giving all crops meaningful and interesting passives and unlocks, you're penalized for reusing optimal loadouts - Skill tree has a ton of locked squares saying they'll unlock after unlocking the new next farm type but they don't They just become empty squares
构式一般的增量游戏,几把一点都不爽,能爽的时候就该献祭重开了,给的奖励和付出的时间完全不成正比
I have mixed feelings about this game, even though I ultimately still recommend giving it a shot. On one hand, it delivers a genuinely unique take on the incremental genre, packed with cool mechanics and a nice pixel art style that immediately caught my eye (just a quick heads-up, it’s definitely not for the photosensitive). On the other hand, i got hit by a wall in where the experience turned repetitive and it took me far too long to get through despite the various gameplay variations I needed to do grindy calculations. In the end, I think the issues might just be my own rather than a flaw with the game itself. Recommended but still for me its a *5/10*
Either upgrades are op or useless
