Offroad Horizons: Arcade Rock Crawling

Has the potential to be a really cool game. The physics just aren't quite right it's nothing like rock crawling in real life at all not that I expected to be perfect. You either have 100% traction or none, there aren't any hub lockers are any other mechanisms like that. You don't really even have to plan a line in most cases you just full throttle up a hill.

This game is awesome! I've been wanting to have a game like Offroad Horizons for a very long time now. The rock crawling aspect of this game is simply fine tuned. And the physics of the vehicles is so realistic. I'm having a blast rock crawling on the trails which are soo beautiful by the way.I also love how areas on the trails get hairy and would need your complete focus and would need just the right amount of throttle response to get over the obstacles. Do yourself a favor and get this game you'll definitely have fun rock crawling on the trails!

- Неплохо, но пока аркада чистой воды, слову симулятор в названии не соответствует. - Карты проходятся на время из-за чего ты уже не обращаешь внимание на ландшафт, и выбор маршрута или траектории, а прешь газ в пол и как попало только бы успеть в таймер, а не как это выглядит в трейлерах игры. Из-за чего опять таки симуляторность теряется. Подход Pure Rock Crawling с флажками мне нравится больше. Там спешить не приходится, выбираешь более правильный путь, и наслаждаешься поведением машины. + Карты красивые и на первый взгляд интересные. - Но увы карты очень простые. - Управление пока не настраивается, не могу на геймпаде перенастроить передачи. - Ручная коробка бесполезна, спидометра и тахометра нет. - Переключения полного привода и блокировок нет, по умолчанию на всех тачках полный привод без блокировок. - Поверхность земля и камни, физика на них одна и та же. Нет воды и грязи. + Но игра симпатичная и не дорогая, любителям оффроуда можно иногда пофлексить. Будем надеяться не забросят и добавят больше физики и функций чтобы соответствовать слову симулятор в названии.

Ich wollte dieses Spiel probieren, obwohl ich diese retro Grafik nicht mag. Leider gefallen mir auch andere Elemente nicht, mir fehlt die Motivation, 20 mal den selben Berg hochzurasen, um die Zeit zum freischalten der nächsten Strecke zu erreichen, oder Schatzkisten auf dem selben öden Hügel zu suchen, um weitere Polygon-Fahrer freizuschalten. Wem sowas natürlich Spaß macht, der kann dieses Spiel kaufen. Aber diese ersten positiven Bewertungen voller Lobhudelei sind mMn kritisch zu hinterfragen.

Firstly, this is not a a simulator like Mudrunner. It is more arcadey and has some kind of strange phisics, but this is a fun rock crawling game with good driving and suspension physics. This game is clearly meant for a controller as it doesn't play super great on keyboard. More specifically the camera. Edit: I had a complaint about the camera being maped to the arrow keys and they have changed it to the mouse which is a well received change. My biggest gripe gameplay wise is the immense difficulty spike between level 1 and 2. I'm and avid offroader in real life so I like to think I'm pretty good at picking lines and navigating obsticals, but some parts are just insane with extremely steep inclines so your truck wants to flip backwards and obsticals only inches from a cliff. It does keep it interesting, but you only get 3 resets or you have to start the whole thing over again which is very frustrating. Overall I recommend this game if you enjoy offroading, but this game definitely has some kinks to iron out.

Early access abandonado después de 2 años sin actualizaciones, las físicas no se sienten bien ni tiene ningún tipo de profundidad en su gameplay, hay mejores juegos de off-road por menos dinero.

i love the game and its artwork but the camera is a pain at times, i know its early access but i wish there was a way to lock the camera in follow behind or use the mouse to move it, Other than that i havn't found a bug yet and love the physics of the game and artwork great game for $9 but man the camera is a pain there are plenty of trucks but cant wait for more, no customization on trucks sadly hopefully in the future you will be able to change the color of the trucks. Just a couple of suggestions to the devs.

En l'état, le jeu n'est pas très amusant, parce que le crawling, c'est censé être lent mais technique. Sauf que c'est un jeu arcade. Donc on est juste à franchir des roches lentement. Sur un tracé couloir sans raccourcis, sans liberté, sans beaucoup de technique. La proposition est donc vachement limitée...

This game could save your life if you ever find yourself navigating treacherous mountain paths in a Jeep. Its also a lot of fun!
