There’s no introduction at the beginning of the game; you just find yourself in a house where you need to find your mom. The house layout and assets will be immediately recognizable to fans of indie horror games, because it’s the generic stuff seen so many times before. The same goes for the UI, with the diary where you see objectives, and the flashlight and lighter mechanic. Fortunately, this one removes the need to scour around for batteries or lighter fluid, so that’s already a big plus. On the other hand, the diary and inventory come with a weird performance drop each time you open them. Gameplay-wise, there’s not much to say. You move around the house and experience the standard paranormal events, such as lights blowing out, sounds coming from the other side of the door, someone invisible running around, and stuff falling down when you get close. The house doesn’t offer much interaction, so you can’t rummage through drawers and closets. There are some items you can take a closer look at, but the game’s cursor, which turns into a hand when you get near, is barely visible. Fortunately, progress is more about triggering events than finding stuff, and rare keys have a slight glow around them. Besides the sightings of various creatures—none of which can hurt you—the next events are also triggered by reading letters. This isn’t shown or marked, so if you’re stumbling in the dark, you’ve probably missed a letter. A trigger will unlock a door somewhere, show a scary event, or spawn a key. There’s an inconsistency with the sound: while voices are very low in volume, jump scares are turned all the way up, so you should probably turn the knob on your speakers unless you want to blow your ears out. There’s no in-game volume setting, so you either have to deal with the inconsistency or lower the volume to the point where voices become inaudible. Another problem is the camera mechanic. Near the start of the game, you’re supposed to take a picture of a scary painting to move the story forward. But the number of pictures you can take is limited. If you waste them, you’ll have to restart the game. The good news is that this is only a feature for a short time, and the whole game takes around one hour to beat. Overall, there’s nothing new to see here for fans of indie horror game. It has a somewhat interesting story that deals with time loops and a strange clock, but visuals and mechanics are not original.
Had a blast playing this game! Have played a lot of indie horror games and this one was generally really enjoyable. I was amazed to hear it was your first game! Keep up the good work!! Although parts of the game I was legit blind; but it was my own stupidity :)
non ho capito perchè mi sono beccata il badending, #aiutatemiaduscirne
This was actually a REALLY solid game. You play as Ethan Cross, who hasn’t heard from his mother in weeks. Naturally, he goes to check on her… and instead finds silence, locked doors, and a house that feels very wrong. Trapped inside a decaying home tied to a cursed clock, you’re left to explore, survive, and uncover what time has forgotten — and let me tell you, the vibes were IMMACULATELY unsettling. The graphics looked great, the gameplay was smooth, and I had zero technical issues. The environment absolutely delivered: creepy lighting, red lights everywhere, hanging bodies (casual), and you’re basically navigating the darkness with nothing but a lighter. Which, respectfully, is TERRIFYING. There were plenty of jumpscares to keep me on edge, and the atmosphere stayed consistently creepy the whole way through. It’s an indie game, so the playtime was around 1.5 hours, which honestly felt just right — not rushed, not dragged out. The story was good, engaging, and actually kept me interested the entire time. Overall, I had a lot of fun with this one. 👉 Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a solid short horror game to pass the time and get thoroughly unsettled.
Really fun, bonus points for the Disembodied Tyrant poster
found this game out because of the devs other game "Death On Holly Ridge", and youtube. the game is good and it's cheap for a good horror game. I personally enjoy Death On Holly Ridge more. both contain good jumpscares and this indie dev is really good at doing scary games. don't want to spoil to much but love the voice acting in his games and I recommend giving both games a go!
I don’t usually leave negative reviews and as an artist I genuinely appreciate games as a form of art and creativity. Unfortunately this game was just frustrating to play. It gives you a camera without clearly explaining what you’re supposed to photograph or when you should use your limited shots. The game is also extremely dark and when you hold the camera it’s even harder to see anything. I ended up wandering around confused because the game provides very little guidance beyond vaguely suggesting that the camera might reveal or unlock something. I really wanted to enjoy it. but the lack of direction and frustrating mechanics made the experience more annoying than fun
Geile Grafik, Geile Scares, Geile Atmosphäre. Daumen hoch, klare KAufempefehlung!
