About
This is not your average tower defense game. This is Obliterator-X, a brutal tower defense roguelike where you build, scavenge, and survive against relentless mutant hordes across scorched Outback-inspired landscapes. Assign combat drones, loot schematics, and blast through waves of enemies in a game where death is part of the plan and the beginning of your next upgrade path.

In Obliterator-X, every run begins with a short scavenging phase before enemies arrive, letting you explore buildings for loot and choose how to prepare. You will place traps, set turrets, and assign drones to suit your strategy. If you die, you bring back materials, experience, and new upgrades that permanently improve your odds in future runs.
Your time before the wave begins is critical. Use it to loot abandoned rooms, uncover powerful new weapons, and find blueprints for advanced defenses. Drones can be assigned to help you explore or guard key areas, letting you adapt your plan on the fly based on what you find and what is coming.

After each run, return to your base of operations where you can spend collected scrap, electronics, and food to unlock and build new facilities. Each building adds new functionality to the game, such as unlocking a minimap, revealing enemy paths, or increasing the power of your tech. Every structure can also be upgraded, creating long-term progression and new layers of strategy.

Use the skill tree to unlock powerful passive bonuses across four categories: Combat, Defense, Science, and Resources. Improve your stun effects, increase your resource yields, unlock smarter drone behaviors, and more. Every decision you make helps define your playstyle and build toward a stronger survivor.

Each successful run brings you closer to uncovering new parts of the world map. Explore distinct biomes, each with their own enemy types, environmental hazards, and loot opportunities. Whether it's a scorched outback, frozen wasteland, or twisted city ruin, every zone offers new challenges and strategic choices. As you unlock new regions, you will also encounter tougher enemy waves and better gear, encouraging long-term progression and replayability.

I like the roguelike twist on a tower defense game. Very early game the tower defense are really noticeable in the tutorial, but looking at the skill tree, there's some hot stuff coming up. As with any Rogue game, prepare to do a certain stage multiple times. Had to do stage 1 about 3 times, mostly because some game mechanics weren't the most clear at first, but once you get the
mini map
it makes the game definitely more manageable. All in all, enjoyable experience. Have I mentioned the OST is on point as well?
I'd never heard of this title. Just played it for four & a half straight hours even though I have things to do. Super fun. Hidden gem for sure. Outstanding gameplay loop. Also, game crashed right before the final boss. Too funny...
A bloody fun romp! This game's art direction and over the top gore lend themselves to fun action, reminding me of the classic action fests like Contra. The skills and base building add depth to the fast paced action! Death to the mutants! Highly recommend this game especially for the price!

Good upgradeable roguelike shooter defense game. Solid game. I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the genres. It adds a nice combination of tower defense, upgradeable roguelike, and shooter defense. It reminds me very much of some of my favorite games :D
Recommend for people who like defend missions, shooters, skill trees, open ended strategy games that give the player freedom to craft unique strategies. Gameplay quickly becomes up to the player as the game tree expands in complexity with machines that can be crafted and set to aid you however you want. There is an upgrade tree and exp. and a recommended level for a mission. Death for you, the character, is no big deal as you will respawn in a handful of seconds, what really matters is defending the generator. This game will keep you on your toes: thinking, planning, strategizing. Music is generic but does fit in with the vibe of the intensity of the objective and the setting. There are ways to play if you want an additional technical challenge, like going out without a skin. One of the least earned (and probably hardest) achievements is tied to not using a skin so replayability is there both from the perspective of content and skill curve.
Very fun game, twin stick looter/shooter with some tower defence/base building elements sprinkled in. Each level has a 'tier' of weapon and then a rarity, a la Diablo the more rare the item the more affixes it will have like frost/flame bullets or extra capacity maybe it fires an extra bullet. One complaint I mainly have, it seems that a tier 1 rifle is the same as a tier 2 rifle besides damage values and such. I felt it may be nice to have a bigger variety. Off the top of my head there is a pistol, revolver, sniper rifle, assault rifle, bolt action rifle, shotgun, cannon, rocket launcher and gatling gun. It seems that they just rotate through each level with higher tiers to add more damage and scale it to the new levels. It did not feel as if there were many more guns to unlock as the game progresses. As you do battle, you can build towers/fences to manipulate the way enemies approach your base you start with a few drones and they can search the map and mark boxes if they have loot in them they can assemble towers or bring crystals back to the reactor so you don't manually have to or they can also retrieve stuff from junk piles and of course, the drones can defend you. After battle will get scraps, circuits and food these are used to build facilities in your base which can unlock abilities in game like starting with more chitz to buy towers/fences or radar upgrades so you can see enemies and loot on the map, buy more drones or bulk up your health bars. You also gain experience to unlock new abilities or just do simple improvements like make drones/turrets stronger This is a very fun and addicting game, I was locked in then I killed the boss of the fourth stage and ran around the whole map for 20 minutes trying to figure out how to complete the level... Nothing. Even in that state, I was very satisfied with my playthrough so far, the game is challenging but also rewarding. Hopefully it gets patched soon so I can finish it up!
First of all, the music is PERFECT! I love it! This is a fun game. It took me a few minutes to get used to the controls because I am typically a console gamer. But a friend turned me on to this game so I dusted off the 'ol PC and I'm glad I did. Fun game, fun concept, I think it's easy to pick up and get into it. I highly recommend it! You should play this game. For now, I will stop writing this review to go back to my game and see what happens! Rock and roll!!!
This game managed to scratch a very hard to reach itch that I have for the old days playing flash games. I came here and got exactly what I was looking for. Not too deep, yet every detail was thought and planned carefully. Played once and finished the game. Realized that I can play
without skin
and did it with a new game from scratch. finished it. Learnt about new game plus, had to do a third gameplay. The learning curve is fine, at one point I had to rethink and plan out my stuff and actually play tower defence. Just finished 100% the game. Definetively worth the money and you can tell it has a part of the developer heart. The bosses may seem a little underwhelming but that's because they shine later on in the
hoard mode
and the
new game plus
Now this things that I'd like to point out. The game as it is fine. But I want to point out some of the following: 1) There are some weapon modifiers that I don't know what they do. There's no ingame description, sandbox to test things out or an outside wiki to check 2) some weapon modifiers are there but don't really add to the game, like poison and ice. Ice doesnt do much since you're slowing the enemies when they're almost near the emitter. Poison is dot but in this game you need to kill enemies fast enough to prevent the emitter being destroyed and that timing makes poison dot almost useless.
