Definitiv eher ein Gam-jam Spiel als ein wirkliches großes Game und verliert selbst in der kurzen Stunde Spielzeit mehrmals an Pacing und wirkt selbst dafür etwas zu lang. Grundidee ist sehr cool, im Endeffekt läuft man aber im Kreis und sammelt Gegnermassen und schießt dann möglichst viele auf einmal ab. Leveldesign ist größtenteils super boring und der Gore-faktor ist überraschend enttäuschend und simpel. Dennoch ist die Idee selbst es doch irgendwie wert es sich mal anzusehen, unbedingt durchspielen muss man es aber nicht. 5/10, ziemlich schwach, aber das Konzept carried die Monotonie für die gute Stunde Spielzeit gut genug

I love Gorytale's aesthetic and humor first and foremost. The shooting feels fine, the movement is great and the general loop follows through a stage and then ends in an arena. It's a good, classic loop that while it is a throwback still feels current. I feel like this will be considered a little gem on Steam. It's hard to pull of a borderline parody (i think it's better than a parody to be labeled a parody) and the dev pulled it off flawlessly. Strongly recommend. https://youtu.be/lN0jkp2xp1Q

Gorytale is the answer to the question - What if Serious Sam is more vulgar and candy-themed? Expect lots of insane, non-stop action, tons of running around and kiting mobs, interesting but not all-too-difficult boss fights, and some jokes that can be either tasteful or tasteless depending on your sense of humour.
