About
Raid cursed dungeons, claim powerful loot, and escape before it's too late. Scum's Errand is a top-down roguelite horde shooter with extraction mechanics where every run makes you stronger, but greed can cost you everything.

Fast-paced top-down shooting against relentless hordes. Dash through waves of monsters, manage your ammo, and keep moving. Standing still is a death sentence.

Make your own scum. Choose your look, colors, and style before every descent. Show up in style, even if you don't make it back.

Slot cards that amplify your relics and weapons in unexpected ways. The right combination can turn a simple revolver into a death machine, or make your relics spiral out of control. Every run, a new build.

Four weapon categories, each built for a different situation: Revolvers for precise shots, Shotguns for close-quarters carnage, SMGs for sustained fire, and Machine Guns for overwhelming force. Find what fits your run, and master it.

You can extract at any time and keep everything you've found. Or push deeper, fight harder, and gamble it all for greater rewards. One wrong move and you lose everything. The choice is always yours.

Random Generated Maps: Explore ever-changing dungeon layouts where no runs are the same.
Great Enemy Variety: Battle swarming creatures, sneaky assassins, deadly ranged healers, powerful buffers, and stunning tanks in a relentless never-ending onslaught.
High Replayability: New maps, loot, builds, and encounters keep every run fresh.
Risk vs Reward Decisions: Extract with your riches or push deeper for greater rewards.
Build Diversity: Combine weapons, relics, and buffs into powerful playstyles.
Character Customization: Unlock cosmetics and create a scum that looks like your own.

NO USER reviews so I had to try it - bullet hell - kinda bare bones - so far ive seen about 5 diff machine guns and pistols and shot guns with all their own playstyle - havent seen any bosses yet but im sure there are. But for 3$ why not try it? def 3-5 hours worth of gameplay... and ive only played 1-2 hours 5/10 - will update again when I play more just wanted to try it.
I picked this up because it was cheap and the extraction + horde shooter idea sounded interesting. After a few hours I'd say it's definitely one of those games that has a lot of potential. The core gameplay is already really fun. Blasting through hordes, finding better loot, deciding if you should extract or risk going deeper for more treasure creates some tense moments. The weapons feel different enough that switching builds actually changes how you play. That said, it's still Early Access, and it shows in a few places. Some mechanics feel unfinished, there isn't a huge amount of content yet, and you can tell the developer is still figuring out the best direction for the game. Personally, I don't mind that because that's exactly what I expect when I buy an Early Access title. What makes me optimistic is how active the developer has been. They're currently working on a major roguelike update with map progression, events, shops, and more choices during each run instead of just jumping into the dungeon. I think that's going to make the gameplay loop much more engaging and give every run more variety and replayability. Looking forward to seeing where Scum's Errand goes over the next few updates.
