About
Nuclear Option is a combat flight game set on a dynamic and realistic battlefield of the near future. Use an array of advanced weapons to change the course of battles as you intercept bombers, duel fighters, fly under the radar, or unleash the fury of nuclear weapons on enemy formations.
Each aircraft comes with an immersive cockpit featuring a situational awareness HUD, identifying nearby targets and threats. Aircraft can be flown with various controllers or with a mouse-controlled "virtual joystick", requiring no special hardware.
Experience realistic flight dynamics, with stalls, spins and g-force effects fully implemented, as each aircraft is composed of up to 50 individually simulated physics parts . A highly detailed damage model means that the condition of each part affects the way your aircraft flies.
Build your own missions using the included mission editor, and then fly your mission solo or with friends in PVP or PVE multiplayer combat.

This game is an absolute blast and an easy way to kill 2+ hours without even realizing it. The graphics are very simple but still pretty good. Even on larger maps flooded with units my CPU and GPU barely hit 20% usage. It does an exceptional job of blending arcade style games like Ace Combat with simulator games like DCS. The learning curve isn't bad either, it's super easy to pick up while still leaving plenty of room for improvement. I can't wait for this game to be finished and see just how much better it can get.

What is there to say about this game? Oh, I know. The controls for my HOTAS (the T.Flight Full Kit X) do not work cleanly out of the box even when correct bindings are put in place. Why would I want to waste my time on a game where the controls don't even work? If you sort this glaring issue out I might consider buying the game, but for now it's a refund.
I regret buying this.. It's just so peak I don't wanna do anything but play this game Absolutely recommend
Great physics and mechanics I just had a few personal problems with it so I refunded it. Overall it is very fun if you like action flight sims like dcs or war thunder (this has no in-game purchases other than soundtrack). The multiplayer was pretty active when I played it (middle of weekday). I have no idea about how well it runs on low-end specs as I was playing on geforce now. Would recommend.
Jamming in PvP is terrible gameplay, its only fun for the one autistic kid in the jammer plane wearing his coke bottle glasses clicking icons on a map, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
DEATH TO THE BOSCALI DEFENSE FORCE!
If you're on the Fence of buying this game I Highly recomend it! The Game is Really Fun to play Solo, COOP or PVP, and rarely feels unfair The Game is also fairly easy to learn however it takes time to truly master it. Onto the gameplay the base keyboard controls were sorta werid at first though once I learnt them they were great! Further more once you're actually in the air there are so many ways to play the game, from Dog Fighting, CAS, Actual BVR!, Bombing, Scouting, and Electronic Warfare!(That's actually fun!) The Damage models are also just Top Notch! and it's really fun to try and larp an F-15 and land with 1 Wing. My only issue when starting out is that Active Radar Homing (ARH)s were kinda annoying though once I actually learnt to knotch it felt fair. Also the game even in Early Access Runs Great! takes up little storage space! Overall this is perhaps my favourite Flight Game and I Highyl recomend it. 9/10
The best flight sim on the market and it's not even close. Identity isn't defined solely by what you are, but also by what you are not. Nuclear Option is not:

Monetarily Expensive
Storage Expensive
Hard to run
Filled with microtransactions
Full of grinding
Hard to pickup and play
Boring
In other words, Nuclear Option delivers the best parts of military flight sims without all the baggage that players have gotten used to tolerating in their games. It is hands-down the most fun I've ever had flying an aircraft in a video game, and I can get straight into the action within a minute of starting the game. While the planes are all beautiful and fun to fly, I especially appreciate the other assets within the battlespace. You've got tanks, IFVs, SPAA, naval assets, factories... there's plenty of targets to choose, and they all affect the battlefield's dynamics. The music is also peak (UH-90 Ibis Theme my beloved). 10/10, get it now and enjoy a game that respects your time and money.
Do not buy this game if you unless you intend on getting a flight stick to use on it. Keyboard and mouse flight controls are horrible, and the controller support isnt integrated enough to be useful. This is a game for intense flight sim enthusiasts who want the complicated procedure of flying a military plane, but without the tediousness of having to flip dozens of switches, check gauges, or do pre-flight checks.
