Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.29/day in the week to Aug 23 → 4.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
As the once-great Roman Empire falls into decadence and decay, you lead a small band of citizens in search of new lands hoping to build Nova Roma – a bastion for all that was once good in the Empire. Starting from a humble village, you must appease the gods with grand temples, sate your citizens’ many needs, and build a society that will be the envy of the world for millennia to come.

A wise city planner knows how to harness the world around them. Erect massive dams and aqueducts to control the flow of water as you reshape the land into artificial watersheds and reservoirs, paying close attention to how your actions impact soil fertility, or how a particularly rainy season might flood your city. Seek distant resource deposits and build infrastructure to transport raw materials and processed goods across massive stretches of untamed territory. Will you strike a delicate balance between the growing urban sprawl of your city and the risks of rapid expansion? Or will your hubris risk the wrath of the gods and nature itself?

Contend with a growing list of needs and desires as more people flock to your city – from pottery and wine to bread and games, it is your responsibility to keep the people happy and safe. Watch them grow into artisans, gladiators and thespians, and guide them through life as they spend their days toiling, and their nights enjoying the fruits of their labor.

As you consider matters of taxation and technological advancement, do not forget the powers that stand above you - build grand temples to the gods, avoiding their wrath and seeking their blessings to bolster your capabilities and ensure the continued prosperity of Nova Roma.
Featuring intricate water and weather simulations and the ever-present threat of divine intervention, Nova Roma explores the cultural, and social trials of the era. Take charge of your small Roman town and grow it into a bustling metropolis that will stand the test of time!

this is a really good game
this is a good game and its very fun. its just kingdoms and castles but in rome and its a better game in general. its a bit laggy but its because im playing on a mac mini.
Beautiful graphics, very intuitive to play (once you get a grip on how the water system works), and very customisable - I enjoy playing with no invasions! Gives me my fix from playing Pharaoh in the early 00's, including when you click on the townspeople and see the little things they're thinking! Excited to see how the game continues to grow and expand!
I have really enjoyed my time playing Nova Roma so far! I love a good city builder/colony sim, and played the devs' previous title (Kingdoms and Castles) a few years back. What I love: - This game feels like a very natural progression of systems laid out in K&C, which made it quick and easy to pick up. The passing of seasons tied to harvesting food was consistent and easy to pick up again - The addition of planning and constructing larger megaprojects is very satisfying. You can tell that the devs have put a lot of thought into how aqueducts flow, and it can be really satisfying to run these to exactly where you want them to go. Similarly, the inclusion of terrain tools, dam building, and the new forum system is veeeery satisfying - The ability to "stack" smaller structures into apartments (like markets) is incredibly satisfying. it makes me feel so so so cool to use a square on the map for a house and also a market stall. more of this please!!!! Things I'd love to see improved - The combat and enemy system seems a little lacking at times. There are defensive towers you can place, and military units to train, but the systems don't seem as deep as I would like for them to be. Take this with several grains of salt as I haven't taken a settlement all the way to the end game, but some variety in combat encounters (such as where enemies are routed, how to defend against them other than just builidng arrow towers and sending soldiers, and other ways of interacting with enemy factions beyond violence) would be appreciated - Beyond the further growth of the primary city, I don't see a ton of incentive to expand my city to neighboring islands. It would be nice to see additional (possibly rival) factions introduced. I'm not sure if the devs intend to make this part of the gameplay loop- I would certainly be excited to hear more!
Superbe travail, bravo ! 9h non stop ;) lag un peu avec une cité importante et un PC i7 windows10 + GTX1060
I came in expecting some blend of caeser 3 + banished, but it's basically a pure sandbox game. The logistic challenges don't quite hit the mark like factorio. The core loop was old school anno, where you wait for a key resource to come in (stone), click the building, then keep waiting again. The game needs scenarios for this to be fun, which is what Anno 1404 (and previous) and Caeser 3 does. I also found the military pointless. I get that you don't want to make it too punishing (eg caeser3) but the raiders come, light 1 building on fire then leave. It's better to ignore military and build more fire fighters It's got the basis of a good game, but I found it boring after a few hours. With scenarios it would've been more fun. At review time, this game felt most similar to Rise of Industry which also suffers the same problem of logistics game loop being mediocre
