这个游戏进去一直是韩文，没有让我选择初始语言，整了半天没设置好。之前是玩demo玩了2h才买的正式版。确实麦克风延迟很高，不过比较有意思的是可以通过实际物品来记忆单词。但是这个优化和机械翻译真的很劝退，里面的引导教程都是机翻，语言牛头不对马嘴的，教学文字语义不通，起不到教学的作用。

Really cute concept, poorly executed. Like many language learning games and apps, it is tough to fit it all into an engaging and entertaining format. Inevitably stuff gets lost in translation (pun intended). I played as a nearly fluent Spanish speaker looking to keep up my Spanish. I have separated my notes about the game into categories so you can decide what is/isn't important to you. Vocabulary/Language - Spanish has a lot of dialects, this game does not make room for regional variations of words nor does it clearly identify which dialect of Spanish it is trying to teach - For some reason, to ask how old someone is you must say "Qué edad tienes?" instead of "Cuantos años tienes?". If you say años the game will mark it as wrong. Learning Mechanics - The game has you learn a word/phrase in one of two ways, either by writing or speaking (online only) - The writing mechanic is supposed to break the word/phrase into syllables but instead ends up with random chunks or entire words instead of simply a typing mechanic or actual syllables - The speaking mechanic sometimes recognizes incorrect words/pronunciation as correct and recognizes correct words/pronunciation as incorrect Non beginner experience - As the description mentions, the game is best for beginners learning vocabulary. - The game doesn't offer a "test-out" option so even an A2 speaker is stuck learning already known words as though they are brand new Tutorial/introduction - The tutorial for the game is limited and doesn't necessarily explain all of the game mechanics - You have to instead search for the handbook and read the mechanic descriptions independently (which still aren't very well explained) Gameplay - Gameplay is a bit clunky with limited precision for PC controls - Weird random bugs like if you drop an object in a certain spot it becomes stuck TL;DR: Not a horrible game but not something I would buy again. Don't use this to learn a language alone, only as a supplement.

不好玩，背单词不如电子点读书。短语复述困难。

this game, noun town, has been very enjoyable to play and has improved my pronunciation in french considerably (starting from near-zero, mind you). I can really recommend it if you have used Duolingo as there are a lot of similarities minus the annoying aspects of Duolingo like the pay-wall(s) and advertisements. great for kids too. the art style is great. it's a little clunky at first play but after a few minutes you get to explore a neat little town and bring it to life from drab colourless grey to coloured as you identify new nouns. as far as good game mechanics for language learning and in the game itself there are a lot that make it shine. it has a streak mechanism where you get a gold star each day that you complete the three tasks which are to identify 5 new nouns, have 1 conversation with a person in the town, and to do revision flash cards based on the nouns you already identified in past gaming sessions. these three things are great because it allows you to build up a vocabulary at a steady pace while reinforcing what you learned over time with the spaced repetition learning technique (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaced_repetition). in fact, mentioned on there is the other piece of software that I use, Anki, which I highly recommend. it's free flashcard software for any device and there are free comprehensive flash card decks for learning languages (and other stuff I guess too). I could go on, but this is a good piece of software. It's a shame that it's a little clunky with frame stuttering on my m1 macbook pro, but overall it works great.

[strike] 综合体验被多邻国爆杀 [/strike]，小bug不少但是都不影响体验，有些单词给出的模型不明所以，如果为了考试提分不建议靠此软件 [spoiler] （但是这个软件打折的时候30rmb不到） [/spoiler] 对学单词唯一有用的地方就是背单词，[strike] 因为我还没找到其他直接把图像和单词结合起来的学习软件 [/strike] 所以用此软件学习的唯一方式，就是坚持打卡，和每天游玩每个单元的学习冲刺，每天学习冲刺不打到5000分或6000分不罢休，靠视觉与听到单词形成肌肉记忆，[spoiler] 因为到真正能够流利说外语的程度就是靠肌肉记忆 [/spoiler] 因此除了学习冲刺积累肌肉记忆以外，不建议体验其他功能 [spoiler] 但我现在的学习状态是这个软件每天背单词，多邻国每天熟悉语法，然后再辅以一些其他事情 [/spoiler]

Good way to start learning a language and have about 10 languages to choose form and switch at a time. May be better things out there for learning a language but it's one time pay, that you can pick up at any time. So also could be used as refresher if you had started learning one before.

This game is really fun! I like that you can use the speech recognition to practice pronunciation. I would like to be able to switch back and forth between typing and talking. That way you can learn how to spell/type the words, but this game is great for getting comfortable speaking. I highly recommend. :)
