I understand the game is early access but for the price they are asking (almost AAA) the game is MILES away from realizing that value. Only purchase if you wish to support the developer and don't mind putting up with some really really bad control schemes. EDIT--- for the people deleting review comments (you know whom you are) For those using the "But it's early access" defence need to realise, this is still a monetary transaction that needs to meet the criteria of being fit for its purpose of sale. At the current price of 57 AU dollars you would expect a product further along in it's early access development cycle than what is currently being offered. In it's current state; UI text appearing outside of UI elements on widescreen displays, Poor sound volume mixing and no atmospheric sounds. You could spend hours figuring out and configuring controls AND still not have something workable. Also using controller/keyboard seems to have no way to pan the camera when manipulating a heavy machine such as a dozer (without a 3rd arm or head tracking/vr). Almost no tutorial and no game direction, some in game videos to watch without sound... Buying equipment is done from a floating menu and then spawned into the game world. The game is basically a proof of concept with some nicely modelled assets. which is fine if they had of chosen a more reasonable starting price point for their product. I suggest lowering the price to $19.99 and with each milestone you complete and deliver to early access raise the price. You are asking people to invest in you with $57 of their money, but you are not a developer yet you are modders taking on your first big project to become a development studio. You have no track record with delivering on your promises and in turn presents a huge risk for the customer. This is why the steam reviews are so mixed, it's not the product so much as the price point you have chosen. Anyway that's my 0.00000002 bitcoin.

There's a decent amount live but I just spent an hour and a half trying to figure out how to setup my joysticks. Their tutorial is not that good and there's no sound and it doesn't really explain anything. For now this game just going to sit in the library and I'll come back to it after some updates. I really have high hopes for this game but time will tell. The controls are by far the worst controls I've ever seen on a game. NMC makes amazing mods for FS19 so hopefully they can get this game where it needs to be. The price is ridiculous for where the game is. I understand it's early access but good god it shouldn't have even been released for early access yet.
Has tons of potential, also everyone who is complaining doesn't clearly see "Early Access Game" It is still very well under development and will take time for things to become better. I see a good future for the game. While the price is high the game will for sure be updated and fixed in due time.
really bad have to refund the game. maybe ill pick it back up in a year or so. even for a early access game its to sub par and for 40$ its crazy Value.
If you've browsed other reviews for Bergsbruk you've no doubt seen several mentions of "it has tons of potential". This really does, but at this point it's just a big (albeit pretty) sandbox. If you love messing around in the dirt with bulldozers and other equipment while not needing reasons for doing so, get this. If you like your play structured for you however...I'd keep it wishlisted for now. At present this has solid support for mouse and keyboard as well as joysticks. Visuals are great when you run this maxed out, but optimization is so good even dated PCs like mine can handle several machines on screen at once alongside the endless forest. Audio is...placeholder-y right now, don't expect much lol. Unlike Machine World 2, Bergsbruk's closest competitor, the developers of this game can be easily reached. Posts on the NMC Discord are usually answered within 12 hours or less and they love new suggestions and other ideas. There are fairly regular game updates at current, sometimes more than are listed on the News page here. Do I recommend buying NMC: Bergsbruk? Hmmm...a tentative yes, I suppose. The price, even reduced from its original offering, is still a bit steep for where this is at. I think this is a safe investment though due to how long North Modding Company's been around turning out Farm Sim mods.
I think the game has a lot of potential but then there's a lot of things that needs a bit of tweeks. Like the controls menu or the "joystick setup" to make it a lot more easy to set ur controls. One more thing i cant be the only one that dont like how u scoop up the dirt in to the bucket?
I did not expect much based on the introduction video for this game. But when testing it out...how can you even take money for this? You should be begging for ppl to try it out and give feedback instead. I mean...this is could be a "proof of concept" to show investors and even that is a bit thin. Game detects my steering wheel and there is nothing I can do about it. Tried a game controller, that worked for 10-15 minutes then crashed. GPU usage is through the roof. Dirt and physics is so far away at this stage. I think this has potential if: - you can create proper roads and use them - dirt needs to be at a minimum better than in "Construction Simulator 3" for IOS. - Multiplayer - Blasting for rock formations, or is theese mountains dirt? - instead of such open landscape, more valleys and higher, some impassable mountains? - differanciating areas of soil/rock composition - Logically, you wont find any gold in places that is in the game. Other minerals maybe, but still more in mines rather than ripping down a whole moutain from top to bottom. Hope you guys can get somewhere with this game. Currently, it is a total waste of time and money... Update 05.09.2022 - Still crap - Ok, he got so far. Either concept is too bad and no one wants to fund a speedy process to deliver game or this person want to make more money himself not selling out on shares. Anyway, money wasted and that is sad as the game had potential. - If possible, dirt mechanics is even worse than last time i tested. Different map this time around, still....shouldn`t be a difference. -Why even bother to use more time on this review or testing the game? Had hopes, and they are now gone. Don`t quit your "day job", as this one is not getting you rich any time soon :)
I love mining games. I also love the mining mods on Farming Simulator 19. Unfortunately there is no content in this early access title. A handful of models to try out and not much else. If it was half the price I might have kept the title in the hope a game appears down the line and to support the devs. But the asking price is way over the top. I will see how the game pans out over the coming months, because I would like to see it materialise.
I gave it another go when it was on sale and now I am really impressed. Definetly a lot of positive thing have happened and the game is really enjoyable now. If you're a sucker for heavy eqiupment like me, I think you'll like it [strike]At 30€ I expected more. It is waay to overpriced compared to what you get. I want to support the developers but I wont let them steal my money which I felt they did. I will probably come back in a few months and see what have been updated and give it another chance. But for now, dont waste your money on it[/strike]
The developer is not going to continue development, scam project
