The game has not been updated in months. The devs have likewise not communicated in months on Steam, and the Discord isn't very active either. Supposedly the developers are working on an electricity system and some physics fixes, but their Trello has not been updated at all in months. The game is sorely lacking in content and polish, though the concept is admittedly really intriguing. Sadly, the execution of this concept in the game's current state leaves a lot to be desired, and the game feels like a scam more than anything. The $25 price tag doesn't help matters much there, this doesn't even feel like it's worth 5. If this game isn't an outright scam, then it sure as hell feels like it has been abandoned. Update March 2022: Still no updates at all, and still no communication whatsoever. I am 100% confident in calling this game a scam. Do not make the mistake of paying money for this piece of pure garbage, you will not find any value in it at all and you'll have been suckered out of every penny you paid. Update April 2024: While the devs have responded saying that they are indeed updating the game, everything I said rang true for a very long time when I originally said it. Time will tell if they devs continue working on the game and actually make something of it. If the game leaves Early Access in a good state then I will give the game a second chance and change my review if it's any good, but I would still advise against blindly supporting the game as it currently stands.
It seems this project has been abandoned. The developers have not posted any updates or other information since September of 2021. They have not responded to any request for information on steam, discord, or any other platform.
Sims Killer?!?! This thing is awesome. Yeah, it's bare bones, but you can really make something truly special with this. My quick review: + building needs work, but works awesome - survival system is incomplete (no thirst yet) + deep stats, hint at the Huge scope ahead - If it's going this deep, there should be bodily functions like urine and #2 + In crafting, there will be "functions" for what you're building, so that might include toilets, shower etc + Vehicles incoming - Vehicles not in yet + Beautiful. I usually love buying these Early access build/survival games, because they promise a lot of what real builders/survival players want... open world, true freedom in building, a decent combat system, and immersion. what is here is Noteworthy! I only gave it an hour, because I wanted to see what I could pull off. there is no real gameplay loop other than finding your footing and living and trying out the crafting/building system. the scope is amazing. you don't need random maps, if you can possibly spawn anywhere on the planet. I can't wait to see the updates in motion. Suggestions? -more materials -more functions -more biological functions -Take a cue from Minecraft's "hand model" for FP perspective. (way less jarring with anims) -Make a way to include player Recipe creation for future foods well I'm greedy. I always liked The Sims, and this looks like the closest we will get to a full realization of it.I pray we get there. Great work thus far.
So much potential would be cool if it had the building tools like Besiege and Space engineers joined together so i can build some big hydraulic machinery cause its going to take me years to mine underground with my iron pick lol its so addictive i cant stop digging looking forward to the updates, keep up the good work its going to be a great game.
Abandoned. Tried talking to them in Discussions, Discord, their bug reporting tool. Even the goals they marked finished on their road map are less than half finished.
THE GAME IS NOT FUN WITH NO CONTENT AND A CLEARLY "UNDEFINED" CRAFTING SYSTEM THAT TOOK TOO LONG TO FIND OUT HOW TO SIMPLY CRAFT. ROCKS ARE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND SO PROGRESS IS LIMITED AND NOT WORTH THE PRICE. MAYBE AT A LATER DATE WHEN THE GAME IS MORE DEVELOPED IT MIGHT BE WORTH THE PRICE BUT EARLY ACCESS GAMES AT 25$ WITH ALMOST NO CONTENT IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE. MAYBE MAKE THE "C" KEY FOR CRAFTING AND MAKE IT CLEAR THAT ITEMS NEED TO BE IN THE INVENTORY NOT YOUR HOT BAR. Update: just checked out progress here at the end of 2025... still looks like the same slop as b4 and devs seem to have gone missing.. 25$ cash grab still lol DONT BUY IT!
This is a very facinating game I gotta say, you can build whatever you want, you can build a tent, a mordern house, a bridge to heaven etc.
If you have looked through the discussions, you will have noticed that the comments that this early access game has been abandoned. This may or may not be the case, only time will tell. Having played through the game for a while now, I personally hope that this will not turn out to be the case. However, even if abandoned, there are aspects of this game that make it stand out, the primary one being the crafting. Unlike most build/craft games that provide pre-made walls, furniture, or even whole buildings, this game provides a very unique and highly capable build system based on primatives. Through the use of these primatives, you can craft significantly more complex objects than can be found in most, if not all, other survival games currently on the market. The only similar crafting system I have seen is found within Second Life. Unlike Second life, however, there is no limit or cost to the number of prims that are used, so you can build really complex objects. That being said, this game does lack a few of the nicer design elements found in second life: you cannot upload your own textures, prims cannot be spliced into sub-shapes (i.e., a quarter sphere, holf a torus, etc.) and you cannot place different textures on different sides of an object. You ability that this game has, though, is that the different material textures are linked to resources. So, if you choose to make your object out of wood, you will need to chop trees. Stone, you will need to mine (the voxel based world is also a great feature). If your build uses multiple materials, you will need multiple materials to craft it and the requirement is dependent on the size object that you are creating. This building system is what truly makes this game stand out from it peers. Where it lacks, however, is actual game play. The sun rises and sets, the shadows move, but unless you love building objects, there is not actually very much to do at this point in the development. If there are creatures, villiages, NPC, or any other game elements, I have not found them yet. So, if you simply love to build for the sake of making nice structures (you can build your house, plan your garden or otherwise use it as a CAD program, if you want), this game is for you. If you are looking for a playable game, this is not one you should get yet. Hopefully it is not abandoned and the game will continue to be developed. If it is, it could become a outstanding game. As it is, it essentially, a fun CAD system.. Only time will tell. I hope this helps those who read it. I will update the review if and when the game is further updated. Best, Hawk
Game is dead
Allows me to build any shape I want and weld them altogether. 'Functional' spaceships. Highly technical / janky though.
