Non-Euclidean Minesweeper is a puzzle game set in non-Euclidean space, solvable using logic alone.
It is powered by a custom renderer developed for hyperbolic geometry and an original solver optimized for Minesweeper puzzles.
Players can enjoy the nostalgic classic in a warped environment and solve every challenge without relying on guesswork.
• Easy-to-understand animated tutorials.
• Pentagonal and heptagonal grids in non-Euclidean space.
• Square and hexagonal grids in Euclidean space.
• Undo feature to prevent accidental mistakes.
• Auto-save functionality for game progress.
• Light, dark, classic, and modern themes.

What a fun take on a classic! I was a little overwhelmed at first but I quickly realized it's the same old minesweeper, just with some added spice only made possible by the bizarre nature of hyperbolic planes! I'm excited to get to know all the different settings and geometries! Main takeaways: - If you are a fan of minesweeper, you will get a lot of mileage out of this game! - There are a couple bugs that distracted from my experience. - 8 geometry options: 6 different hyperbolic tiled fields plus 2 normal tiled fields (including the classic square) - 2 presets of logic difficulty (Easy and Hard) - 6 different field sizes for each geometry Some highlights: - The game felt really fresh: the mind-bending sensation of moving around the hyperbolic fields hasn't gone away! - It's really improved my appreciation and understanding of hyperbolic space! (Emphasis on "improved." It still hurts my head lol) - The weird geometries opens up the mines to be exposed to a different number of tiles than would be possible in euclidean geometries. I love that I can play a game of minesweeper where a heptagon tiles the plane! - I liked that there were so many different options I could play around with! - I appreciated the tutorials for some of the mechanics. - The different themes were fun. - It was fun that normal square tiled and hexagon tiled options were available to play as well. It was interesting to compare how game-play changes in a hyperbolic vs euclidean plane Some critiques: - The app's response and adaptation to different window sizes on my PC was a little weird. There was strange stretching and squashing of letters, buttons covering up different parts of my score, and text not properly responding to field orientation. - I may have missed it but I would love to be able to see my best times recorded for each geometry, size and difficulty level. Again, I'm loving this fresh take on minesweeper! Thanks!
I have vertigo and i want to puke 10/10
An absolutely excellent version of minesweeper at its core, and the hyperbolic surfaces up the challenge a whole lot. Definetly worth it for fans of minesweeper.
the game is minesweeper, and its fine. the actual game part is done relatively well. however, the sound design and UI needs some work. the soundtrack is extremely degrading and the menu is bland and confusing. there are 2 menu buttons, and only one changes the game mode.
Wonderful game! I'm a math major, and this has been great for visualizing hyperbolic surfaces. It's very fun to play.
vomit now
This is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I am overjoyed. I love minesweeper, and this game puts the best spin on it. These alterations to the classic game are counter-intuitive in the best way possible - it really is like playing minesweeper for the first time again and it really makes you think. I love everything about this. Only critique would be perhaps a lack of an option to change controls? I'm used to pressing both mouse buttons simultaneously to chord(referred to as "quick opening" in the game), but as far as I'm aware, the game only lets you quick open by left clicking. Also perhaps that the flagging sound is quite ear-piercing. But these are very, very minor. Overall, I absolutely love this game, and it still gets a 10/10 from me. I LOVE IT!
this is Genuinely the best version of minesweeper I have ever played in my life, It is so worth it
