Great tool for practicing for your Driving License test in China. I still haven't gotten mine but maybe another 1000 hours and I'll get it. 中国是最好的。 我爱中国。
The Tiananmen Square protests, known as the June Fourth incident in China, were student-led demonstrations held in Tiananmen Square Massacre, troops armed with assault rifles and accompanied by tanks fired at the demonstrators and those trying to block the military's advance into Tiananmen Square. The protests started on 15 April and were forcibly suppressed on 4 June when the government declared martial law and sent the People's Liberation Army to occupy parts of central Beijing. Estimates of the death toll vary from several hundred to several thousand, with thousands more wounded. The popular national movement inspired by the Beijing protests is sometimes called the '89 Democracy Movement or the Tiananmen Square Incident. The true government of China also currently resides on the island of Taiwan.

I was having one of the best experiences of my gaming life playing 东方驾考模拟器|Chinese Driving License Test but then as I reached question 41 my world came crashing down before me. As with the other questions, I instinctively chose the correct answer, as I religiously study the art of Chinese driving. Then as i went to submit my answer and move to the next question, i made a sudden realisation that made me feel sick. Nowhere upon the page did I see a next button for me to continue to question 42. This sickness suddenly turned into anger, anger directed towards the developers of this masterpiece turned disaster, CCYY. How could they do this to me? I am just an innocent Chinese driving lover. This has ruined my day and whole month including Christmas.

东方驾考模拟器|Chinese Driving License Test is not really a game, it's just a browser-like might-as-well-be-a-webpage quiz on passing a Chinese driving written exam. It's unclear whether any of the questions in this quiz software are right or wrong. There's no English translation for the software, but that's ok. It turns out, the language of bad games and bad software is universal. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the player if they win, and then if the player survives, they repeat that loop. There's no loop here, no true interactive feedback. It simply is not a game, it cannot be "played". Like... did you ever sit a written test and then say "What a fun game!!!". No, you didn't. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The software interface is mostly just text boxes/dialogs and features mostly static, barely animated 2D images, the kind of thing you expect to see in browser/HTML games from the 1990s. While that might be fine for the 1990s, gaming has evolved a lot since then, the ATI Rage became mainstream in 1996... it's 2023, and that kind of thing just won't fly anymore, it's just not visually up to scratch. The implementation here is of such poor quality, the developer couldn't work out how to make the software display in fullscreen, it only runs in a window. The poor quality of this software is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak user number for this software was only 10 users. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only user activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality software is to be expected. 东方驾考模拟器|Chinese Driving License Test is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the software, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
Profile Features Limited!
Valve have marked this software as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the software (to date). Until this status changes, this software will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this software.
mayhaps one of the most ambitious projects literally ever
