Saw a cozy game and cute boxes and I legit might be too damn stupid to play the game. I personally wouldnt slot this into roguelike or cozy, but maybe I just cannot understand the basics of the game enough to get to the cozy or roguelike portion of it. If you're a little bit stupid this game might not be for you </3
TLDR: Well made game, but not fun for me. I play tons of strategy/resource management games. But this game just felt more like a chore than fun strategy. Money is practically infinite so it is essentially sandbox. No real stakes. It kind of feels like doing math or designing a circuit, and not in a minecraft-redstone-kind of way. It's unfortunate, because it is a smooth game with likable graphics and a decent premise on paper. But in practice just not fun.
A factory/process management game. Across islands you unlock over time, build progressively more complex foods, unlocking recipes and "boss fights" over time. "Boss fights" consist of feeding a hungry void (cat) a specific food, fast enough. Over time the beast gets hungrier, so it forces you to not just build a hamburger, but to build them fast enough to sate it's hunger. While the visuals align to the 4th vegetable you unlock (potato) it's a solid process management game. It can be somewhat unintuitive at times, and managing the flow of objects can be cumbersome, especially prior to unlocking filters and priorities, but once you figure all that out, it is quite good. No Shapez, BigPharma or Factorio, but… a solid process management games. I can recommend at $10 an under.
I honestly found very little enjoyment in this game. It starts to drag on you very early, the gameplay loop is long-winded, and with a lot of the mechanics pushing you towards redesigning your setup etc, it starts to feel more like a chore than a game. I can't really recommend this.

Suddenly got a message saying the save file is corrupted, and all my progress is gone = =
This is a very thin "yes". The concept is good and the automation somewhat enjoyable. The settings menu is too light. The music is barely acceptable bordering on annoyingly repetitive. The controls and user experience are not great; neither is the included wiki. The early game is quite enjoyable with a lot of that good building and planning feeling, but the mid and late game are a slog. Space is tight, money is never short, and bosses take too long to supply unless you delete part of your production line to make room for whatever you need specifically for that boss, which feels bad. If you have not unlocked the tech tree and are playing for metapoints it feels especially bad to have to re-do the production of some food that only gives you 300 metapoints just because you can't get to the later foods yet. No matter whether this boils down to a skill issue or not, the game feels like an awful slog the more it goes on and the somewhat mundane music coupled with a ton of button mispresses and misclicks lead to annoyance and frustration for me. On the other hand, the early game is fun, unlocking new production lines and doing optimization is great, and there are enough options to feel somewhat free in how you design your islands. Coupled with the medium price point I can only give this a very thin "worth the 15 hours I spent in it."
+ Controls are well thought-out + Haven't even touched logic-gates yet, but already having a great time + No time-pressure or enemies (at least that's a positive thing for me) + It's fun :) - Tutorial and help could be improved... I didn't know where to start or which game-mode to pick. - Optimizing/balancing stuff is not easy, beacuse there are no precise stats (what number affects what?) In conclusion: Nice game, hope more people discover it
