An interesting mix of different game genres, the developers took a bit of tower defense, a bit of strategy, added a shooter and a roguelike and got a good cocktail that is interesting to play
This is exactly how our great-great-grandfathers felt when they founded our cities. In this game, we will create our own space colony. Unlike the usual base upgrading simulators, here we will fight enemies and build buildings in one location. This is very convenient, the gameplay is immediately feels differently. The graphics here are high-quality, and also made in 2.5D, which allows you to get a pretty wide overview. The mechanics of construction and shooting are also very convenient and will not let you get bored, there will always be something to do. Overall, the game is quite interesting and most importantly - fresh and unique. If you want to become the founder of an entire space civilization, try playing it. This is the sloppiest of AI slop games. I do appreciate that the developer disclosed this was an AI game up front so I knew that before I purchased. Sometimes a game is less than a sum of its parts. This game is a hybrid shooter and base builder that is vaguely similar to hero RTS games. You are on board a colony ship and must build buildings which produce little space men, while fighting off spawning aliens. There is a day night cycle, and at night things get tougher. Every aspect of the game is not well done. The AI art is of vastly different quality and style. Some stuff is semi realistic, other items are strangely stylized or like a cartoon. The entire level shifts back and forth during combat, I guess because you are in space? It leads to a strange sort of vertigo. Levels are a confused mix of 3d assets and 2d assets. However, the mix of art styles means there is no immersion and the whole experience is off putting. The controls are also not good. For some reason most of the key controls go off of the mouse wheel, which at least for me was finicky. You use the mouse wheel to switch between crafting and shooting. You also use it to bring up the build menu. You also use it to bring up the research menu. While any menu is up they obscure the play field but the game keeps going. In addition, your options for building or research are not well explained in the tooltips, but you need to make decisions quickly while being attacked. There are no options to remap the keys, or change the controls away from being mouse wheel based. The UI is not well done, with key buttons strangely transparent so that they are not obvious while playing. This is even true on the pause screen. It is baffling that things like the settings button is almost invisible on the pause screen, but during the game the build/research menus are not transparent in the same way. There is a frame around the game space that has no functionality and just takes up space. The frame is in yet another different art style. The sound effects are of really poor quality. One of the sounds of your gun sounds just like a star wars blaster, and it sounds like it was recorded off of a low quality speaker and clipped. The sound effects, again, vary from semi realistic to hyper stylized, leading to no consistent art sound. I would recommend turning the sound effects off in general. The gameplay was ALSO not good. The game starts off pretty easy, but there are a number of instant death spots that are not well telegraphed (nothing is well telegraphed). There is an escalation of enemies, but it is relatively easy to stay on top of that with base building. In some ways the game felt more like a bad starcraft clone where you were playing as an STC running around grabbing resources and building things. At 30 minutes in I was completely bored and not impressed with every element of the "product". 0/10, would not recommend to anyone. I'm fine that AI is able to help creatives bring their vision to life. However, it also enables complete junk like this that is just poorly done from top to bottom.
Played demo last year and this is a good one ofr an indie solo dev game. It’s deep, stressful, and sometimes terrifying with Zombie Boss comes. get rocket towers ready.
No tiket honestly surprised me. Started off slow but once things got creepy, I was hooked. Great mix of crafting and survival, and the atmosphere is tense. You can tell it's indie, but it’s got heart. Would recommend for fans of weird space horror.
"No Ticket Back" immerses you in a dark survival experience where every choice counts. Navigate treacherous corridors, fend off relentless enemies, and rebuild your colony. Face haunting fears as you explore a ghost ship, manage resources, and survive zombie attacks. Will you conquer the darkness or be consumed by it
A beautiful game in which you need to build your new civilization, different locations make this game unforgettable.
At first, the game was a bit confusing and boring. But after an hour, I got the hang of it and it's awesome!
não. de graça ele é caro.
Not bad, not amazing. Some janky moments and UI could use polish. But it has charm, and the horror atmosphere works. If you’re into indie sims with a twist, it’s worth a look — especially on sale.
