Something is amiss in Midgard, the world of the humans. You have sensed it for a long time now and lately it has gotten worse. You have just been on a successful raid on distant shores and your ship is filled with loot of treasures and artifacts. On the open sea your ship gets caught in a terrible storm.

-Takes multiple minutes to start up -Runs at maybe 10 FPS at 4k within the menu -Fails to load full screen appropriately, even after explicitly set in menu -Crashed in menus
Seems okay based on my first impressions, but not a game I would continue playing. The soundtrack is very nice. Game ran at a solid 60 FPS for me. Gameplay is relatively straightforward, jump, attack, use a potion, etc. I like the setting and art style. However, I noticed numerous spelling mistakes in the small amount of the game I played. The levels were fairly simplistic, but I only played for about the first half an hour, which slowly introduced new mechanics, so maybe they get far more complicated later on. The controls were unintuitive, and I had to look them up. Although the developer recommends playing with an XBOX controller, you still have to switch back to the mouse to click on the button which takes you to the next level. Hitboxes seemed a little wonky at times; there were times when my attack hit an enemy when I didn't think it should have, and likewise, there were some attacks I got hit by where I didn't think I actually got hit. When I tried to open up the menu to claim my daily reward, the game hard-crashed on me. Based on my limited hands-on time with the game, I'd say it's a game that has some potential, but it's a bit rough around the edges and could definitely use some more polish. If you're into adventure platformers, give it a try.
Ok game, the platform game controls are different from the norm & will take alot of getting used to. I may or may not revisit this game mainly because of the game control functions. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/179632990
good, i have finished only 2 levels yet until now, but everything ok, sound, gfx, playable, fun, price, all is all right, i have no exceptions, game is similiar to Oddmar. Nice work, only fullscreen mode on mac is windowed :( :)
For me gameplay is king, so something simple like this is often a go. I saw that this games achievements seemed easier; based on percentages. Everybody likes cake sometimes right? If you complete stage 6 on the "bonus map" you may see 3 stars but are awarded no stars in the overworld menu. The mouse cursor is replaced on the screen after each stage. If this bothers you (like it does me) you will be forced to move it each time if you use a controller to play. Speaking of movement if you stand still on a moving platform your character slowly moves. Meaning if you were to land dead center on one and go do something you'd be at risk of falling off. With a game wrought with problems and no true pause button, this is inexcusable. The game seems most concerned about the time in which the level is completed and perhaps the amount of coins. I beat several stages with health missing and still got 3 stars. 200 coins nets an extra life. This seems adapted from a mobile/free to play game. The end of the game will require all the gems you have and then some. The plot is just a generic mishmash of fantasy tropes. It only serves to slow you down and prevent you from achieving 3 stars on each level. One of the bosses is encountered 3 times and says the exact same thing each time. It's not clever either; it just feels odd or lazy. Other players have reported that the final boss achievement is broken. I'm not sure if I'll ever bother to find out if this is true or not... You see I made the horrid misstep of letting the game sit for about 10 minutes while helping bring in groceries. I then tried to get potions from the fail menu to finish the final boss. The game hard crashed at this point. No big deal right? Except after a certain point this games stages are not all the normal unity style list. You have 1-12 and then it's in steps 13, 17, & 21. It's around 15 stages to reach the boss again (from 21) then the boss glitches out and flies against the wall (where it cannot be hit) near what I presume to be the end of the battle. https://youtu.be/XQdjakZvUVw?si=2ebb4WTphElHizhh&t=11 It's a rare instance in which I place a game in my vetoed pile within 24 hours. I ran out of gems. I'm not going to bother to farm more due to the state of the game.
https://youtu.be/mXBWl9usPeg Possibly a port of a mobile game, overly simple gameplay lacks any hooks to keep players interested for more than a few minutes.
