This game is just so much fun. The combat, bosses, story, and feel of the game are just great. The only thing I want are placeable map waypoints to remember there is something at a specific spot.
Gran juego peak.
Quel Jeu, mes aieux.
I want to like this game but it feels just it's just made to frustrate you. It feels like the enemies are made to frustrate you. Healing is quite difficult and unless you are perfectly parrying every hallway attack you have a pretty good chance of dying and losing all you r money in a frustrating loop. Getting knocked down means you can't get up quickly again and will likely get hit in the same combo facing multiple opponents you can't parry all the attacks or punish the enemy when you do. Normally, that's more or less fine but this game isn't like hollow knight where you can just dodge them when they stack up. maybe I should just put it on easy but I don't want to play that way and I am not having fun playing it I also don't think the platforming feels very good and the backgrounds within the same zones look very similar so I find myself not super knowing where I am. The mini bosses also feel like a load of crap.
I realized I never reviewed this game. This is by far one of the best games I've played in a long time; additionally, Nine Sols is the first game I've ever gotten every trophy in, so that says a lot. Unlike other sekiro-like games, and even souls-likes, Nine Sols takes the time to teach you how to play the game, you're more than welcome to grab a skill, turn around, and access another area, but so at your own risk. If you follow the flow of the game, you actually develop the skills you need to defeat each boss naturally. Only 2 and a half bosses gave me trouble throughout my playthrough, one for being 2v1, one for being the final boss, and one for not even being a boss and thinking it can beat you to a pulp in a small corridor. Overall, I highly recommend this game. The story is fantastic, the graphics are gorgeous, and controls are smooth as butter.
