Nine Sols is a lore rich, hand-drawn 2D action-platformer featuring Sekiro-inspired deflection focused combat. Embark on a journey of eastern fantasy, explore the land once home to an ancient alien race, and follow a vengeful hero’s quest to slay the 9 Sols, formidable rulers of this forsaken realm.

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 36.29/day in the week to Jul 24 → 46.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

An amazing game. The beginning was difficult for me i don't know why. I had to start this game three times before I finally got into it. I also had a problem with the fact that there was no colorblind option when the game first came out, but thankfully, they eventually added one. I won't say that it's Hollow Knight combined with Sekiro, because that's how it might seem at first, but the game has its own soul and identity. The story is captivating, the graphics are gorgeous and will age incredibly well, and the combat is very satisfying. The only thing I can criticize about this game is the final boss. The problem isn't the difficulty of the final boss itself, but the fact that the game doesn't prepare you for such a sudden jump in difficulty. Most games prepare you for the final battle throughout the entire adventure, but that's not the case here. You can feel like a god while fighting the penultimate boss, only to discover that the final boss isn't a wall, but a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fortress.
You know what? I'll say it. I did not care for Nine Sols. This game made it's mark on the indie scene with it's brilliant combination of Sekiro-esque combat and metroidvania exploration. It is by no objective means a bad game. The art is good, the music is great, and the gameplay is amazing. Unlike a lot of other games with Sekiro combat systems, it both understands what makes parry combat so fun while also adding it's own ideas. If you're just here for the gameplay, there are no complaints to be made. However, it feels like this games story was scientifically engineered in a lab, calculated and measured with the most cutting edge equipment, to be as infuriating as possible for me specifically. For the record, I haven't actually finished the game. I am at the Nuwa and Fuxi fight, but the following complaints just broke my resolve to finish. I just hate everyone in this story so much. It's also been awhile since I've played, so I've admittedly forgotten a lot. First off, Yi. When writing him, it feels like the devs were going for a "lone wolf renegade who secretly cares deep down" archetype. However, he's just a ♥♥♥♥. It feels like the only reason he does anything other than his vengeance quest is because the player is forcing him. It's a strange feeling, because I can't think of any other games where doing side quests feels out of character. He's also just super rude to everyone and is one of those smug hyper-intelligent scientist types. He's also just really rude to people around him, with his treatment of Kuafu and Chiyou sticking out to me. To be fair, I don't believe protagonists need to be good people. Angela from Library of Ruina is one of my favorite characters of all time, and she spends almost two entire games going on a childish revenge tantrum. The difference is that the devs are completely unaware of how Yi comes off. The other characters also piss me off. Shuanshuan is just a blank slate, and him being a generically cute child is supposed to be a substitute. Kuafu is a doormat and Yi's professional yesman. Goumang is an "evil temptress woman" that was already going out of style 600 years ago. Jiequan is a generic social darwinist, Sundowner without the comedy factor. I could go on, but I have the same sort of vicious criticism for basically every other character. Even worse, they just kill everybody off. When Yi actually recruited Kuafu, I thought we were going to get more nuanced resolutions to each sol's arc. Instead, they all just die. I'm 17 hours in and I still don't know why Yi is doing this btw. The only character I kinda liked is Chiyou, but the story doesn't take the "pacifist-poet war monster" seriously and kills him off. There's also just minor stuff like calling humans "apemen." IF YOU KNOW WHAT APES ARE AND MEN ARE, WHY DON'T YOU JUST CALL THEM HUMANS!!! HOW DO YOU EVEN KNOW HUMANS WOULD FIND THAT TERM DEROGATORY!?! The lore is also kind of a nothingburger. Like, it's a lot of idea, but it's just lore. It doesn't really add up to anything or contribute much to the themes of the story. It has some connections with the concept of the Tao, but it's surprisingly shallow. Once again, Nine Sols is not objectively bad. In terms of the crunchy bits of game design like art and gameplay, Nine Sols is excellent. I just personally can't stand the story to an almost comedic degree.
i love this game and i wish there was more content so i could play it more.
Лор и подача офигенные, дизайн хорош, боёвка интересная, некоторые боссы заставят напрячься. Только как метроидвания получилось уээшненько
