i'm very glad this exists its wonderful my one criticism is that it still doesn't take into account elevation at all, which is a little sad
This is going to destroy my life, calling it right now... (thanks) edit: oh no OH NO!

I can't lie, despite having over 4000 hours in the game, in its current form I CANNOT recommend it to others. Recent updates have completely ruined the beauty of NIMBY and have made it unfortunately, impossible to use.
Feast for railway lover.
if you like making train or lightrail lines its a good game
Pros and Cons

Pros
-Open world (literally, you can go to any town/city in the world) -Normal mode (with money) and sandbox mode (unlimited money) included! This gives you different types of gameplay you can enjoy, which I like. ---In sandbox mode, you can literally do whatever you want. Want to make a Trans-Atlantic rail system? Go ahead! Want to make a subway system for your local town? Go ahead! You get the point... -Nonexistent performance issues, both my good PC and potato laptop could handle it just fine even with hundreds of trains and tracks. -Steam workshop support! This helped me somewhat fix unrealistic demand, plus there are a lot of cool train mods!
Cons
-Demand can be unrealistic, whether that is unrealistic ridership or unrealistic destinations. The game does not account for residential, commercial, or industrial areas. As a result, it is just passengers going from random place to random place. ---The unrealistic ridership can be fixed with placing down your own POIs (Points of Interests) or downloading a mod for it, but unrealistic destinations still linger. -The UI is very outdated. I got used to it quickly, but that was just me (plus, I haven't even used all of the features yet). Some people are slower learners, and the UI is not intuitive in that regard. ---This is apart of the UI thing, PLEASE make it so that you can highlight your trains using your cursor, that way you do not have to go through the grueling process of manually selecting 100+ trains just to do one thing with them. -No in-game tutorial AT ALL other than a link to an incomplete wiki. For example: Multiple pictures were missing in the "how to signal a junction" page. Go to an external source like YouTube for a tutorial.
My Verdict
NIMBY Rails is a good game for those who want to create their dream transit system (maybe in their hometown), or to create a profitable transit system with budget constraints. If you are a transit enthusiast, or just want better transit, and do not mind navigating the outdated UI, this is a good game and you should definitely get it, especially for the pretty cheap price. If you actually want depth in demand and things like that, I'd recommend Transport Fever 2 or Cities: Skylines (if you also want to make a city), as both games actually take account for residential, commercial, and industrial areas. Edit: I found out you can intervene all trains if you go to company and accounting (the money sign), however my point still stands about the outdated UI and the lack of the ability to highlight trains using your cursor. In my opinion, functions like intervening all trains should not be in company and accounting, and instead should either be in trains or control.
Jogo muito Bom pra quem gosta de metrô, o jogo não é 3d, mas os mapas da região onde vc deseja esta tudo certinho, o problema é que é pesado para uma coisa tão simples.
